Ok in our situation we did not need to send in any proof of relationship between my husband (USC petitioner), our co-sponsor (father in law), and his household member (mother in law). Both my mother and father in law sent copies of the biographic page of their passport to confirm their status as US citizens.

I think they can verify your mother in law's relationship to your wife from your wife's G-325A form.

You are right. i have already checked this one.

but the prob is that on my wife's birth certificate there is her mother name is "rita ann bounds" and she has filled this on her G 325A, but her name on her driving license, social secirity is "Rita Landis".

So what can i do now?

Can i still go with only my wife's birth certificate?

Why is her name Landis? Is this her married name?

If so, I wouldn't worry about that - the birth certificate will be fine, i'm sure most Mother's are using a married name.

Landis is her married name and bounds was her maiden name.

Trailmix BC would be the soild proof i knew this but if u would read careully the subject that Mother in lay BC is taking 1 month and its very frustrating for me while our case has expidited by NVC and this time our case is in Islamabad Us embassy.

What should i do now?

Is there any other document which can prove mother in law relation with her daughter?

i m waiting for reply..

Hi Sibtain,

In fact I did read your posting carefully and I completely understand what you are saying. What you would like is for someone to reply with a new idea of how you can prove the relationship between your Mother in Law and your wife so that you will not have to wait for your wife's birth certificate which has been requested but is taking too long to arrive.

I get it.

You mentioned about the different surnames she has, I was merely pointing out that this is irrelevant if it is her married/maiden name - which you have now confirmed that it is (you brought it up  )

I think the answer you are getting here is pretty clear Sibtain, you need to wait for the birth certificate.

The only other thing is for you to call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor and ask them if there is any other document, like a sworn affadavit or something - that they will accept.

your mother in law's birth certificate won't prove she is your wife's mother, but your wife's birth certificate would since it has your mother in law's name on it. and its normal for the maiden name to be on there.
