When you track cases on DHL, it will only show the different recepient countries. They shipped some files last 1/23 to PH but we never know if our case is one of them. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

My fiance was told by the embassy today that they already have our electronic file on their system but no physical file yet so we still couldnt schedule for interview. Hopefully, they will get it this week.

Let me know if your file is in the embassy already. We have the same approval date so I am assuming that our case will progress at the same time.

Hello there. July filer crashing your thread. :) A few days ago someone in the July thread asked the same question. I couldn't figure out how to quote it and put it here but below is a little copy/paste action. Best of luck!

DHL. That is how your papers are shipped to the embassy. I kept a close on eye on it once we were at NVC.

You won't know for sure it's your case, and you won't know which tracking number is yours, but if you can see they are sending a package to the country you are interested in you can check with NVC to see if they still have it. Towards they end we rang a lot, but in the first while only if I saw a package headed here.

NVC to Embassy using DHL...

www.dhl.com

You should choose USA for the country if this comes up on your main page (where it is leaving from). After that, on the toolbar at the top, put your mouse over Track and a menu appears. You want track by reference.

For today, in the top box where it says reference I put :

EXP 12 JAN 2009A <---- this should be about one day before the NVC tells you it left.

Below in the "shipment pick up date range" put the day NVC told you it left as start and finish. Sometimes you have to play around a bit with the dates, but I've usually managed to find what works this way.

In both boxes today I put Jan 13 2009.

At the foot of the page you will see a little box marked track with a red arrow, click on that and a list should appear ...there were 3 pages today.

The only trouble I have relates to the day/date thing. I am a day ahead here in NZ, and always getting an error "The date cannot be in the future" Course it can...that's where I am tongue.gif

To find anything shipped on a Monday I put the same date, in my case Jan 12 in all three boxes and that worked to on their Monday, my Tuesday.

Yep! My fiance just gave to me our case number. I don't wanted to call yet the embassy. I'm planning to call them when my doctor get my cast next week. I am just waiting for documents from my fiance. Hopefully, I can have it tomorrow.

Can you PM me through here if you have schedule of your interview? I am planning to have my interview on the first week of March. :D

Holy #######!!!!!!!!!!!! I started looking at tickets for my SO and daughter from Nagoya to here - I dont know if this is the case from everywhere, but maybe you need to book a roundtrip flight, with return in the future sometime. the flight price for Roundtrip was about 1/3 of 1 way ticket. Even if you never use that return ticket, at least you save some cash!

Have them buy them in Japan. The price will be cheaper. When my friend flys here to see me from japan her tickets are 1/2 of what I can get for a ticket to/from Japan. She uses this website https://www.iace-usa.com in Japan.

Congratulations probablyamerican! Things will move quicker now.

Thanks! I thought it would neber come

Hey all! So how is everyone doing? I just mailed off a binder of information to my SO. I am hoping NVC forwards our petition soon so that he could schedule an interview ASAP. I have a quick question, though: how often does NVC update their case status? Every time I call the automated system, the guy tells me that they haven't received my case. This is driving me crazy!!! I know it's only been a week, but do we know how often the automated system is updated?

I called NVC for a week and everytime received the same message you are referring to. Finally, last Friday I called and got a live voice on the phone. I asked about my case and the lady at NVC told me they had received my case and forwarded it on to the embassy in Moscow two days prior. I found that it is best to talk to someone rather than rely on their automated system.

Dogspot...How long before you called the NVC? I was approved and I am very excited to know, so I am kind of following you. Thanks

Congratulations! I knew y'all would be approved soon. If you received your hard copy, there is a chance your case has already been sent to NVC. I would call them today or in the next couple of days.

Thank you, I ws getting really worried and thanks for the info. on the NVC.

Thanks, I have used them before, but never from Japan. Maybe worth trying. Seriously round trip was less than 1/3 though. I just looked at there web-site, so either someone in Japan booked more me from there or my assistant did because I cant read Japanese. Maybe difficult for Grace too. She reads hirogana and katakana, but not kanji. maybe I will have my assistant look into it tomorrow or I might try miles & money, then either use the miles and try to salvage the money for use on another ticket later or use the money and cancel the miles part. I need to look into it more.

The website has a link at the top to change it to english.
