Hi guys, just checking in. I just got home from my long weekend. It stopped snowing but it was raining here tonight which was a pain to drive in. Oh and Sam got his corrected passport on Saturday! I am safely with my fiance after having both a bus and an airplane breaking down during my travels (making my travels more than 48 hours!)

I missed Thanksgiving with him, but I am very excited about Xmas. It is snowing here in Colorado Springs - very beautiful

Thanksgiving was pretty good for me. I got to see sisters and one of my bothers, my dad, my nephews and their kids, so it was a nice family gathering. Long drive to South Carolina though.

I am going to spend new years with my SO and our kids in the Philippines. First time to celebrate a holiday in another country, so I am looking forward to it. But most of all, I am excited for my kids to meet Grace and her daughter before they come live with us. I also think it will be a great experience for them to really see another country, instead of just as a tourist.

Karri - Congrats on getting the passport fixed.

Gemmie & Darwinsfinch - I understand, but as much as I hate that, I have those memories of being together fresh in my head for a week or two, but as time goes by, it gets tougher and tougher for me. I start get grouchy & more & more lonely. Seeing her again is like getting a fix for my addiction. It has been a while now, so I am really startign to get grouchy.

Holy #######!! What happened to our adjudication dates?!? Yesterday my dates were Jan. 22-Jan. 31...today they are Feb. 12-Mar. 10. Hopefully CSC gets on the ball soon and catches up with VSC...I don't like these estimates at all!

Mine jumped about 3 weeks also (roughly 5 days different than yours), But I am not too concerned (Yet). Looking at Igor's list, the first few weeks of December were pretty good last year and the last few weeks of November were better than this year also, so maybe we could see some really big weeks for approvals coming.

Looks like your 171 on Igors (I am 182 - seems the dates run on sent date rather than received date), so if the adjudication runs at the same rate as last year, you should have yours (and mine) by the week of 1/21/09 (which was about the date we were previously getting on VJ - maybe a little better.

I guess the dates changed due to last week being so slow - statistics? I am still hoping based on history. Of course, Igor's list is just VJ people - no way of knowing how many other people are being processed that are not on VJ. I guess that could vary wildly by month, but I would guess it would average out over time but you never know. Looks like to me there are more July filers and August filers than September filers, but not much more - maybe since it seems some of these NOA2's come out of order, and we are at the beginning of Sept, maybe we will get lucky - No offense to the August people, but I am tired of waiting on them. ha ha ha.

I just want to share something. Last Friday, I watched the movie, "Twilight". Well, the simplicity and clear picturesque of the movie fascinate me. For me, the movie is really romantic in any sense of it.

After I watched and have a thought of it. I realize that it isn't far from the situation that I have right now and maybe most of VJ'ers too. Lovers living in a different world with different acceptance. The man could survive to live in the word of his mortal lover, just to be with her, but it will give risk to his life and the woman he loves. On the other hand, the woman could definitely adapt and survive in the world of the man she loves. But even though, there are so many hindrances that go between them, which makes them being together hard to achieve but could be.

Living in different part of the world is one of the greatest hindrances that goes between us and the person we love. It can be overcome by having understanding, patience, unconditional love, and faith.

Am I being so mushy? I just miss my Bebe ko so much! Please bear with me.

As I mentioned before, I had requested an expedite. Request was made on 11/12, Still no answer. I send the director at CSC a letter on 11/25 (and again today). Funny, but I got a letter from CSC today. They attached a copy of my fax, and the following form letter:

Dear Sir or Madamm:

Thank you for your recent inquiry to the California Service Center (CSC) via fax or letter for information regarding your case status. USCIS has launched a new referral tracking system through our National Customer Service Center. To ensure that customer inquiries are handled effectively and as quickly as posible, we ask that you call our National Customer Service Center, which is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, PST at 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will track your inquiry with us to resolution.

Most importantly, USCIS provides a case-status online inquiry service on our website at www.uscis.gov - just click on the "Case Status & Processing Dates" link. Finally, the USCIS website also includes a chart that reports current processing dates for particular applications and petitions in relation to the date the application or petition was filed. The USCIS processes cases in the order received.

how the F#@K do they think I got the fax number to send the expedite request? How do they think the expedite request got in the system? Worthless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They promise an answer in 5 days, it has been 20, and they cant even respond with ANY worthwhile information.

Read the book...it is MUCH better than the movie. I loved loved loved the book, but I thought the movie was less than stellar in comparison. And there are 3 more books after Twilight (New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn). Each is around 600 pages and will definitely keep you occupied while you are waiting for your NOA2! In fact, I may just read them again myself...thanks for the idea!!

what part of colorado springs do u live at? we will live in fountain but the time i was there he was renting a house closed to fort carson, near Uncle Guidos bar...do u know it!? It would be fun if we live close!
