Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me what time people usually receives emails from Service Centers? I am constantly checking my emails to see if they send me anything...lol... Also does anyone know around what time they updates the website?

2/21/2008 INS received the package (Express Mail)

2/28/2008 Check cashed by NVC

3/3/2008 I130- Received hard copy of NOA1 dated 2/27/08

hi ...

from my experience , no point in lookin out for emails as notification .. pls do not wait for emails from service centre.. they only update u 1st few times.. Its better to keep urself updated always by callin up the consulate..

You will not receive any e-mail correspondence from the service centers but from the USCIS itself. You will have to register with them so you can receive them and they only e-mail you when they receive a petition, if they sent you an RFE or if they've approved your petition.

Thanks. I am already registered to receive emails from them. I wanted to know what time do they actually email for Approval/RFE/Transfers... It seems like they send it only in the mornings........

I signed up for email notification but have not received anything, evn when we were "touched". I've seen many posts from people who never get an email or "update' online, but get a notice in the mail. Also, a few ppl said it went in their spam/junk folders.

I keep thinking one day at work while Im obbsessively checking the website, I will coming running and screaming from my office saying WE'RE APPROVED! and my coworkers will look at me like Im a maniac! lol

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
