Hello my name is Amanda and I'm new to this site and I really need some help with the k-1 visa. My boyfriend/fiance is from England and we met online. Well he came over here in November of 07 for 2 weeks and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Then he came back in March of 08 for 3 months which were the most amazing months of my life, and now I'm going to London to spend time with him for a couple of weeks.

Anyways, what I really need to know is how do you go about getting the k-1 visa and what things do you need and after the k-1 visa what do you need to do? I am so confused and if anybody could help me out and tell me how they went about it that would be absolutely amazing. The other question I had was does anybody know, that once you file for the k-1 visa, I know that he's not allowed to travel to the states while it's being approved and what have you, but am I allowed to travel to England?

I would really appreciate anybody if they could help me out, thanks so much.

Amanda

Read the guides at the top of the page. You are misinformed on some things you mentioned here.

He can travel here during the process, assuming the POE officer lets him in, and you can travel there.

Read the guides, as they'll answer your questions.
