Can we pay for an I-130 petition using a Personal Check? Is this still allowed? The VisaJourney Guide says it was permitted in 2005. My husband is filing the petition from Virginia.

We're done with the forms and now just have to print them and the supporting documents. Thank you all for the help!

Sure you can and actually it is better since you know when you check was cashed + you can read your case number off your online banking (picture of the check on the back).

+Make sure you submit marrage certifiacte translation and original (the one in English certified) that is the usuall RFE.

Good Luck

Thank you. :) Original of marriage certificate? But there is a note marked "Important Notice" saying we can send "ordinary photocopies." Is it really aafe to send the original MC to the USCIS? Don't they keep whatever you send them for their records?
