We sent in our I-130 in Feb, 2008. It went to VSC. :( After six months of waiting, We finally did something that we should have done much sooner. I sent in the I-129F for us. Well, today by e-mail I just received notification that that our I-130 will be transfered from VSC to CSC. The I-129F I assume will stay at VSC. This was great news to us because we know that CSC is movng so quickly. Perhaps they are brokering out their claims due to backlogs.

Be on the lookout for VSC to broker files those of you with claims with them!

Anyway, my question is this. Do we start the wait process all over again or does UCIS look at the date of receipt at VSC for my I-130 to determine when to process it? If they go with date of receipt I have a strong feeling we may see an approval within the next few months! Wish us luck guys!

Congratulations. I believe your I-130 date of receipt would be the driver in your approval process. Your I-130 has been transferred to CSC so I have a feeling that it will be approved before I-129F (if ever it does since I-130 will be approved from CSC). I am not sure if VSC will forward I-129 to CSC. If they do, you may see both of them getting approved at the same time. You should be getting approved anytime soon :)

I am just wondering, have there been ANY non transferred, non expedited VSC filers approved recently? I am a June filer, and am expecting to be transferred to CSC in 4 more months or so.

Yup...there were two out of VSC yesterday...both were in the IR1/CR1 category.
