PROXY MARRIAGE

Hello! My fiance is active duty and currently serving in Iraq. We plane to get married in Italy in September but there are a lot of paperwroks to do and he would never get them in time cuz he would have just 15 days leave...so he propose me to get a proxy married and then he would flew here in Italy for "honey moon"...can I get some advices on that? Is it hard to get a K3 Visa with proxy marriage? We have proof hat we met in the past and have a very strong and continuative relationship! Any suggestion on this? Thank you all again!!!

If I would be you I will rather go for Fiancee visa. But I wont tell anything about proxy marriage or any kind of marriage in whole process. After arriving in USA would do the court mariage.

Correct, but the honeymoon in Italy for 15 days solves the unconsumated part of the problem. OP, proxy marriages have been done, and they have gotten spousal visas (even some VJ members). But, you might also want to think about the K1 as others have suggested.

thank you all for your suggestion. I tought about it and I think we'll try to do our best to get married during his leave here and if we won't be able to, then we'll appy for fiancee visa!
