No Bimetrics Appointment after 7 months

Hello... I just started REALLY stressing out. I see that most peeps who's sent out their petition has been approved after a 3 months wait. I only received my NOA but after that nothing. Not even my biometrics appointment. 7 months has passed already! I tried to call the USCIS and make an infopass appointment and they told me I'm still okay since I have my NOA. Is anyone on the same boat as I am? Is there anything I can do aside from waiting?

Next March I would've been married for 4 years now so I'm contemplating to maybe file my N400 on November (Feb is my 3 year conditional GC anniversary) if I don't hear from them. Should I do it?

Please advise!

Thanks!

Make an infopass appointment and tell them that you have'nt received your BIO letter yet. If you haven't received your Bio letter before your 90 days window to apply for N400, you don't need to wait further because it was not your fault. Just apply N400 on November. Right now make an appoint with local office and tell them that you have not received your BIO letter.

I did make an infopass appointment and that lady at the window barely looked at my NOA. She said I'm still okay since I received the NOA and it extended my conditional status for a year. Right.

What service center did you apply at? If your file is in California, you are definitely out of processing time. If your file is in Vermont, especially if it is a transfer from Texas, it was around that time that they were having a lot of problems and there are a few who still haven't received bio appointments yet -nor NOAs. If it were me I would keep calling and trying to get them to schedule a bio appointment. Keep trying to escalate the call to an immigration officer and not just the Call Center person when you call. Good luck.

I filed with CSC. How do I get to speak with an immigration agent? Do you think that asking my congressman or senator to follow up on my application would help?

I sent my I-751 to NSC (which was forwarded to CSC) at the end of Feb and received my NOA a week later however no biometrics ever showed up. I called, emailed and even went for an InfoPass appointment but kept getting the same answer "keep waiting".

In July I called again and was escalated to an immigration officer who was really helpful. He took a look at my case and confirmed that a biometrics had never been scheduled BUT it should have been. He sent a message to CSC and I received an appointment in the mail four days later.

I would keep calling the number and ask to speak to an immigration officer. Get them to confirm whether an appointment has ever been scheduled as it may have been sent to the wrong address. If it hasn't been scheduled ask for them to send a request to the CSC to schedule your bio appointment.

Thank you for your reply! Is there a restriction on the number of times you can call them? I had my infopass appointment 3 weeks ago and just like you, they told me to "just wait." I'd love to just wait but we're planning to go on holidays this Christmas and for a vacation next year and travel should be difficult if my status is in limbo. :(

There is no limit on the number of times you can call as far as I can tell.

When you finally get through to a human explain that you want to find out if a biometrics has ever been scheduled for your case and whether it has been sent to the wrong address. This always results in them escalating up to an immigration officer as, I assume, they cannot access that information. Worth a try.

Our biometrics appointment was lost in mail, it took a good couple of visits with info passes and phones until we were lucky enough to get to an officer who revealed the big secret- the address where the letter was sent. Wrong address!!! We got an appointment for fingerprints on the spot and we hope the address was corrected in the system. Sad enough, during the 5 months of waiting we were told each time, everything is normal. Well, it was not. My advice: try to get to the bottom of your problem. Call and go to the local office until somebody gives you a specific answer. Good luck!
