OK. So we've made it this far without any RFEs. But his pisses me off.

We sent:

3 years of tax returns

Joint leases throughout our marraige

title and morgtage papers saying we bought a house together.

8 months of current utility bills

joint car insurance bills for 2.5 years

proof we are both certified to be foster parents

proof we are both members of our church

We do NOT have joint checking accounts.

So what more...besides affidavents from others (can I use friends and family?) do they want?

I'm pregnant...which really doesn't prove anything since the baby isn't born yet. But should I include that evidence as well. What else can I possibly send them.

I would definitely send something about the pregnancy. Even if it doesn't prove that the child is his, it is still proof of the more presonal side (and congratulations!!!).

I would also put a bunch of pictures of you all together and with family and friends. I would also include copies of credit cards with the same number and each name. And affidavits would be good from both friends and family - perhaps including in them if they know about the pregnancy that they have been told he is the father. Have you had a baby shower with the both of you there? A congrats sign to the both of you? Joint health insurance? Life insurance with the spouse listed?

I'm surprised they sent you an RFE with that much evidence initially sent in.

Did you actually get an RFE or are you just wondering? It looks based on your limited timeline that you are just now starting the process to remove conditions. If you didn't include affidavits from friends that is not fatal to your application. It looks like you just need to wait. We sent in our application in April and had biometrics in May. Since then nothing. So, maybe you just need to relax and let the slow system work.

Definitely include evidence of your pregnancy.

Affidavits from friends, pastor of your church, etc.

Do you have anything that lists that you are the beneficiaries for each other -- life insurance, investments, wills, etc?

More financial evidence that spans the length of your entire marriage.

Show how you have co-mingled your day-to-day finances, since you do not have joint accounts.

Show a sample of photographs that span the life of your marriage.

Oh, and what does the RFE specifically ask for? Because that's what you need to concentrate on.

Okay, so you got an RFE. Can you provide them the information required? If they want affidavits from friends then find a couple of friends that have known you during your marriage and have them sign to this affect. There are good examples of what you should include in the affidavit on VJ. I wrote the statements for my friends, they read it, approved and signed. It was no big deal.

Thanks. We're pretty upset we got an RFE. I'm only 16 weeks pregnant..so no baby shower.

Ok, so basically you need to sit down and read through the threads in this forum and get all the ideas you can think of and overwhelm them with evidence. Whatever you initially sent in was not enough and did not convince them, sorry to say it. So think outside the box, get all the ideas you can and send in a ton of relevant stuff. Good luck! :)

Sorry that you got an RFE, but the best thing to do is to just to overwhelm them with evidence. Just send anything at all (especially financial) that you can think of like any other insurance policies... Home owners insurance Do you both give regular donations to your church? if so your minister could give you something that attests to that. Defnitely include documents from your Dr/Ultrasounds to prove that you are pregnant. Photos, affidavits are also another good thing, as are any joint memberships, like a gym membership? Have you taken any trips together? If so include photos and itineraries, ticket stubs etc.

Good luck!! (and congrats on your pregnancy)

If they didn't specify what you were lacking, then assume everything was inadequate. This time overwhelm them with documentation. They are primarily looking for financial transactions that include both of you. But don't forget to provide them with lots of personal stuff including pictures, information on vacations, family gatherings or anything else that shows the two of you together.

Make sure that everything is properly labeled and fastened together. It could be that what you sent fell apart and they could not organize it back into something they could use. Think about the thousands of documents, photos, etc. that they get every day and just imagine what it would look like if a stack of them fell to the floor and got mixed up.

Remember that their files have top two hole punched fastener, so either keep yours together in that fashion or insure they can do it that way. You might highlight the important parts on copies of documents to make it easier for them to find what they need.

Just do an exceptional job of organizing it and you will be fine.
