Welcome back Amal!!!! I hope that the vacation was great.. woohoo :dance: a blackberry - fun!!! :dance:

Only one time a day??? How can they limit kids to the bathroom one time a day? I don't understand that one at all!!!! I can hear myself now if they did that to Aaron - I understand that they have things to accomplish and that some kids might abuse that privilege, but still really now.... when you gotta go, you gotta go!!! :blush:

yay vacation is over for me... :unsure: I'm back at work so I should be able to post a little bit more now lol! (funny how that works out huh?)

I got a new *toy* yesterday...A BLACKBERRY! I spent most of the afternoon yesterday trying to figure out all the bells and whistles! I even spent around 4 hours trying to get my old ringtones off my old phone transfered to the new one so now everybody gets their personal ringtones back WOOT WOOT! :dance:

Son started school yesterday and is really unhappy. They only get to use the bathroom ONCE per day... :blink: I hope that means once before lunch and once after lunch coz I know I am in the bathroom at LEAST once every 2 hours. He's on about the same bathroom schedule as I am so he'll really have issues with that. Outside of that, he should do very well ensha'allah

Jackie...I haven't talked to you in FOREVER! Let's meet soon in yahoo and catch up ensha'allah.

Same goes for all my girls that I haven't spoken to in a long time!!! Maybe it would be great to have a sandbox party soon??? I really need to catch up!

My days and nights are all uucked fup lately. I wasn't in bed till 230am and had to get up at 6...It was like this most of my vacation so I REALLY gotta get myself back on a schedule ensha'allah.

Well, It's time to get my ####### into gear and prove that I'm a worth-while employee lol! Everybody have a super fantastic day and hopefully I can play in here a while today!!!

tasha, zaid had a bad day yesterday too...the sitter called me an hour after i had got to work tellin me he had been screaming for 2 hours,,i could hear him in the backgound pitifully crying,,needless to say, i couldnt concentrate and got anice call from my boss this morning asking me why i did what i did, i literally messed up like 5 things at work, something i never do...

im off today, its chilly here this morning...

i better go give zaid his breakfast...

Is he not feeling well? Or is it separation anxiety? Aaron had it soooooo bad and I mean this kid had so much resolve. When he was around 2 I went back to work and was working Mon, Wed, and Friday and leaving him with my Mother- That child screamed for the entire day and he never let up, ever. (even during the 2 years I stayed home he'd scream like that if I just left the room, even if his Dad was t here) After about 6 months of it, my Mother just couldn't take any more and he wasn't getting any better at all. I was not able to concentrate at work and had lost all focus - Drop Aaron off, cry all the way to work, thinking about him all day, and then rush home after work to get him. When she couldn't do it any more (my step dad had gotten sick at the time as well) I thought about staying home but at the time we needed the money really badly and I'd just been asked to work full time and not the 3 days a week - so I had to take him to a daycare. This really expensive wonderful place and you know what? This child cried for almost one year - He went in the 2 year old class room and soon was moving into the 3 year old class room and I think it was around 10 or 11 months that he was crying every day I left him, grabbing onto my leg, screaming down the hall way, me walking out in tears.. And they kept saying oh he will stop, he will get better, don't worry it's normal - :wacko: They didn't know Aaron at all lol. But around the 2nd half of the year in the 3 year old room he did calm down and started to enjoy his time at school... It's just amazing though how they can keep it going for so long. And I know it has a horrible affect on you at work, horrible. I did the same thing - I was typically pretty class A in my job and I was just messing everything up. I know it's a hard thing to do, but I found it was better for my Mother or the daycare teacher not to call me. He was going to cry, I had to work, hearing him cry at work was so hard and the feeling that I couldn't do anything. I spent so many days working thinking okay maybe today is the day he stopped crying as soon as I left and had a great day!!! Well eventually (10 months later) I got that :lol:

I just wanted you to know that I can identify and I know it's a tough thing for the Mothers, but I hope it gets better soon!

Morning all!! Well next week this time i won't have to worry about getting up to go to work. I am getting laid off at the end of the week... i never thought i'd see this day coming. But business is so slow and she isn't making enough money to make her bills. i was so worried about Kamal's reaction and surprisingly enough he was supportive, told me not to worry, we'd be ok. Any news from JP? Or pics of Carolyn's baby? Have a good day everyone.

I just hate it when any of my kids are sick or having a bad day like that. It does call for screw ups at work.

I'm sorry about the job layoff and sick children :unsure:

I WAS having an ok morning, but just got yelled at by someone at work (I work in a library) by a guy who doesn't understand why he can't just "call" youtube and have something removed from their site. He just wants a phone number. Doesn't understand why you have to contact them online. Um.....they ARE a web-based company. Well, I found him the corporate addy and phone number and he seems happy. Feel sorry for whoever gets him on the phone... :whistle:

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

I never thought about calling youtube :lol: I mean sure I've seen a ton of things on there I didn't like, but never thought to call them and ask them to take it off.... Kudos to you for having that kind of patience.. I don't think I would ever have it!! lol

yea, my boss is one of the best friends, so although we do have to continue to be professional, i think she got over it, she will just leave it fo me to fix in the morning...the problem with screw ups at my work is they normaly lead to termination...working in a bank is a great career, but you just never know..its walkin on egg shells everyday, paying very close attention to every lil thing you do....

my bro, sis in law, and nephew will be coming for dinner tonight...spaghetti it is!! you can never go wrong with spaghetti...and its sofyans favorite...topped with hot sauce of course...

amal...good to see ya back...and i know how you feel bout your blackberry!! I LOVED mine when i first got it..its quite a pain in the butt now though..who is your service thru? as long as its not tmobile you should be alll good..

ETA: Congrats Charles and Nessa...hopin she has a nice easy pregnancy...HOW EXCITING!!!! You both have to join the baby corner thread now!!

hislittlemasriya...i know how you feel when you leave someone and dont know when you will see them again

i felt like that leaving friends in other places and esp my husband in morocco

also had someone close to me pass thru here and then having to say goodbye and not seeing them again indefinitely

i am not working thank god and still got school stuff to tackle

the weather here is getting colder every morning and night
