The time has come to make her feel welcome in her new home. What kinds of things did you do to make her feel like she is coming home? I want to make my future wife welcome to my home, and I want her to know it is hers too. What kinds of things are going to make her feel she is at home and not in someone else's house. Yeah yeah I am cleaning and doing what I can to make sure she finds little things around the house intended for her. What are some good ideas for the help us get through a potientally aquard time or two?

We already refer to things here as "ours". Our car, our apartment, our this, our that. I have taken the webcam and shown Sweetie around and also used the cam on the laptop to take her to places the corded cam does not reach. I showed her all the messes I will clean before her arrival. Once I took the laptop outside and walked around as much as I could.

I do intend not to be as spotless as I should at cleaning in preparation of the arrival because I don't want to create a hotel atmosphere. Or maybe thats just an excuse. ;)

I remodeled the bathroom. I painted the interior of the house and added new baseboards and crown molding. I have nothing decorative on the walls and nothing decorative anywhere. We will get furniture and decorate together, as if we are just moving into a new home. I will let her choose what she likes.

Mu hubby asked me what girly stuff I need ( toiletress, make up, bathrobe, etc). He hired a cleaner to do the General cleaning of the house. He bought a bouquet of flowers and brought 1 red rose at the airport. bought a coffee maker eventhough he doesn't like coffee.

Well, i thought about this time and wanted my love to be comfortable in her new home and was able to get some phillipine television stations through satellite .. and had a nice welcome waiting at home when we arrived back here together .. hot bath and some wine .. tried to be sure everything was clean and that the cabinets were full of things that i was hoping she would like to eat.. and yes plenty of rice . also i had several of her pictures up already .. also her own cell phone to text with .. and a new puppy soon after she arrived to keep her company while im away working. Hope this helps.. good luck
