UPDATE:

Called NVC again, she said embassy has approved the expedite request! :jest:

Case is not complete yet,

I found these people very confuse about finding your information on their computer.

PCC has been entered into the system and under review (probably wait till Monday) another weekend hits our poor case.

I may celebrate pretty soon. I miss you guys :crying:

Nimche...how dare you jump ahead of me...thought we were in the same boat...now I've gotta paddle by myself?

No...congratulations brother. Hope you and Mimche are together soon. Don't forget...Ling Ling is a great name for your first born.

This aitn't jumping but dancing. I am in the same boat but you don't know about you case where I do! Saturdays suck and Sundays rock!

I have a feeling that Monday is my case complete date, you guys better show up in completed cases or I am gone.

Ling Ling, thanks for the instruction,

Loto's guide says to submit two original affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship of Petitioner and Beneficiary.

I haven't submitted the affidavits with I-130. Do I need to submit these affidavits with DS-230? What have others done?

Anybody has a sample affidavit which I could use for reference. I have read this guide many times before but just missed this part.

Please advise. Thanks.

I don't know if anyone got complete thing, but I called this afternooon and that guy (Matt or Max) told me seems that eveything is done and it will go out to embassy. He said something about expedite request was approved or whatever. I guess he was drunk or somthing.

Something I have noticed recently that they don't pickup the phone after 3-5 min wait, like phone rings for about 12 times and then someone picks it up.

What is going on, is it only me or anyone else had the same experience?

I've had the same happen to me, and once after she picked up she told me to "please hold for one minute" and the phone went silent, then after she got back on the line, it was odd, because it seemed like during the whole call her attention was somewhere else, like maybe her lunch...lol...

Operator: "you want you case status? OK, could you hold a second so I can have a bite of my sandwich?"

They are probably contracted service for NVC but man they are 100% better than what USCIS has hired for their NCS.

Hi everybody,

when I filled in my DS-230, I forgot to put 'Present' in the question # 20...

I wrote from 1/1978 to 9/2008.

Do you thing this could cause a RFE? NVC is reviewing our DS-230 now. Should I send my hubby a new DS-230 just in case?

Thanks

Be pro-active, send your husband the new DS-230 now.

If he gets it to them in time, you might avoid an RFE.

So it is a big mistake not to write PRESENT in question 20 in DS-230.

Ling Ling, you think we might get a RFE for this?

I sent the application in September and it is a present month now.

I have seen people getting an RFE for that particular reason, but it doesn't apply to everyone. They may just accept it, you will find out soon.

But just for the sake of it, ask your husband to sign one more and send it back to you, in case they give you RFE.

Good luck

At first I asked my wife to email it from there (her country) and had the template saved in her account and she email it. (we didn't got a auto respond back)

I email it from here in San Diego from her email account and got the auto respond and got accepted about a week after. (you will recieve an email saying that they have entered this information in the system about a week after, but sometime earlier)

Just make sure that you got an auto respond same day from NVC.

Hi Nimche,

my hubby is U.S. citizen, I am the beneficiary of I-130.

My hubby was in the Czech Republic this September and I gave him the DS-230, I signed the DS-230 in September. I also gave him two more signed DS-230, dated October 2008 and November 2008.

I didn´t write PRESENT on any of these forms for question number 20.

I tried to type in PRESENT in question number 20 now but my computer doesn´t let my write PRESENT there. It says I need to fill in numbers, not words.
