What address should I state on form I-130?

My husband and I are going to send in our I-130 this week, and I'm not sure what address to list for myself.

I currently reside with my husband in the U.K. However, I will be moving back to the U.S. to start a new job within 4-6 weeks, while the application is still processing. Should I list my London address in section B. "Information About You"? OR should I give an address in the U.S., even though I am not there yet? (I will probably stay with a friend until my husband is allowed to enter the country, and she says I can list her address if needed.)

I do NOT want to slow down this application process, so please advise which option will prevent delays!

IMO use the US address as this will be where things will be forwarded to from SC and NVC, especially as you will be there in the next 4-6 weeks.

When you receive the NOA1 for the I-130 it will go to this address and you need to submit that with the I-129F for the K-3. Would your friend perhaps be prepared to send off the I-129F package for you including the NOA1 when it arrives.

Yeah, I'm sure she'd be willing to send that off. So it sounds like I will need to put my friend's U.S. home phone number on the form at the bottom, too. (My only phone number is in the UK and will be defunct by the time the application gets that far!) Thanks for your help...you've been great!

I recommend that you use a *stable US mailing address* that you can rely on. Changing a mailing address during this process can be a big PITA.

Changing it is a huge PITA.. big enough for a dozen falafal balls at least. I vote stable US address. Of someones house you have the keys to if possible. Someone who loves you too because when you phone them every day and ask if you have mail this will help :-)

Ok, just so that I'm clear...to change my address at any point during this application process (packets 1-3 for the K3) will be a huge PITA, and my best bet is to use ONE stable address throughout. Yes?

I get what you all are saying, but am ultra-paranoid about delays (as you all can relate)! My husband and I were thinking that we would complete packets 1 and 2 using our London address only, since I'll be here long enough for that, and changing over to my Chicago address for packet 3. But based on your postings, this sounds like a bad idea now...am I right?
