I keep seeing these forms mentioned in places and I don't see them listed in the guide and don't know where they come into play, what they're for, or if they're even needed? I feel like I'm going crazy again!!

What's packet 3 and is it something being sent to us, or something I gotta put together? If I have to assemble it, is there a guide for that part as well?

'Packet 3' is the letter, a checklist of items to bring, and usually medical information, that the embassy sends you once your petition has been approved and forwarded to your country's embassy. You'll be told which forms to fill in then; some embassies, for example, require the DS-230 and others don't, so you won't necessarily need to fill in all of those forms.

You can utilize the search function and type these documents into the search forum. Apparently you didn't read the guides, as the forms you NEED now for the K-1 process are in there.

Also, if you don't know what packet 3 is or whether or not you even need some of these forms, you haven't been reading the guides or searching other threads...

I realized what I typed sounded rude, didn't mean for it to, just the way I worded it I guess.

I have been reading and reading and reading, it's not like I don't have any clues about any of it. The K-1 guide does not mention anything about a packet 3. I have seen no other GUIDE mentioning it. I didn't say I had searched in the forms, since I found no reason to since the K-1 GUIDE didn't mention that there was more that was needed to be done.

That is why these forums exist, so people can be pointed in the right direction when they need more help. Please refrain from answering any more of my posts as all three you've answered have been rudely worded and telling me to more or less, keep looking where I haven't been able to find, or simply understand, what I need. If I didn't need the help, I wouldn't ask. All I am wanting is a straight forward answer if it's known, or a link to where to find the information, not told that I'm being a disobediant student and not researching my homework properly.

If you'd post what type of visa and your timeline you'd get better answers as some of the forms you mentioned are for different kinds of visas.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Well, as I'm posting in the "K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures General Discussion" section, it would go to assume that I need information about the K-1. I don't have a time line at this point, I'm still gathering stuff for the initial filing. Once I have a time line to post, I happily will.

I doubt after your admonishment of members here who kindly took the time to give you some information, some may be reluctant to do so again, and that just doesn't mean the one you rebuked. By all means ask questions. littleasianman actually posted after he initally posted to apologize if he sounded like he was rude. Those forms might not have been in the "Guides" however when someone mentioned "package 3, searching via actual number of form", you could have done so before your response which was nothing less than chide.

Your last reponse indicates to me that you haven't been here long because you'd know that over 90% of posts are placed on the K-1 forum, and then moved by organizers to the correct places.

I find that funny that you say that, considering I sent a SEPARATE post two minutes after saying "I realize that sounded rude, I didn't intent for it to sound that way, it was just the way I worded it".

If you can't understand what that means, then I'm sorry that's unfortunate.

If you don't want us to respond, don't post in a public forum.

And I agree with carlawarla, you're new on this site and are heading down the path of alienating people because of your childish responses and offensive rebuttles to people's posts.

Good luck
