Hello,

I am about to make a copy of my passport for my fiance to take to his interview (I did not include a copy in the original petition) and I was wondering if I should make a copy of my ENTIRE passport. Even the pages where there are no stamps at all...? I know that the stamps can be proof of visiting eachother, but water was spilled on my passport and so most of the stamps are not even legible. So, my question is, should I just make a copy of the first page where my picture and information is, or should I make copies of every single page?

Thanks for your help!!

When/if the instructions suggest All Pages, it means all (including blank). In my experience, even without water spills, entry stamps are hardly legible (often).

Yes, I agree - I copied EVERYTHING, including the cover. Also for your birth certificate, copy both front and back side, even if it is blank - better to send too much than to get an RFE.

Yep. Copy all of them. Even if they are blank. Why take a chance, it's only a few pages of paper?

The OP has not specified whether they sent copies of passport pages to prove meeting in the past two years, or to prove US Citizenship. To prove Citizenship, you send all pages. It's possible to meet in the past two years without the USC ever having used their passport and without even having a passport.

I am confused... We are getting the documents ready for Angela's K-1 interview (in Rio) and nowhere does it say that the US citizen has to provide copies of his/her entire passport. They only ask for the foreign fiance(e) information.

If this is for proof of relationship, copies of the pages with the stamps should be enough, along with the original boarding passes for the flights.

It is also my understanding that they actually don't ask for proof of relationship at the interview. This is what the I-129F was for. If your I-129F was approved, then they have enough proof. Of course, it doesn't hurt to bring a few more photos, letters, boarding passes, etc...

They will definitely want to see proof of the relationship at the interview. That is where it will count most.

I think you have been misinformed.

when in doubt why not just take the time to make copies of all pages?

There are three purposes for which copies of either all or some of the USC's passport are useful.

1. Substitute for US Birth Certificate (requires all pages)

2. Primary evidence of meeting (requires biographical page and those with entry and exit stamps to fiance's country)

3. Evidence of ongoing relationship by showing additional visits after petition filing.

The OP just filed a petition. We don't know whether her reason for including passport copies was for 1 or 2 above but it was not for 3.

Yes, you better believe you should be prepared to show evidence of an ongoing bona fide relationship at the interview. It's not enough that you simply met once. Ongoing relationship evidence has is not evaluated by USCIS when approving the petition. That's the Consular Officer's job. USCIS will evaluate the same issues again when adjusting status, so be prepared.

When my fiance interviewed in Rio back in 2006, they asked a few questions about our relationship but didn't even look at the evidence she brought for proof. I sent a lot of proof of relationship when I filed the I-129F, not just proof of meeting and I don't know if this helped or not. I haven no idea what Rio does today, but I would would bring plenty of proof to the inteview to be safe. I agree that it is better to be over prepared than to leave something to chance.
