Hi, i`m looking to find out about going down to london to get my medical maybe the day before my interview with the embassy, can anyone give me any information on this? is it a good idea? i have to travel quite far so i don`t want to have to go to london twice so i guess i`m just looking for anyone that has maybe done this? waited until you get your interview date and then gone down and gotten the medical the day before the interview. if anyone who has done this is reading can you please tell me whether this is acceptable? easy to do? etc.

any help at all would be really much appreciated.

thanks

Paul

As far as I'm aware it can be done but you won't be given a result on your visa until the medical results arrive at the embassy. This takes about four days.

We had the medical the day before the interview and it was absolutely fine. It does, as Laura says, take a few days for the results to make their way to the embassy so it will delay the visa being issued. I think ours took just under 2 weeks to arrive.

Aye, as mentioned, you can do both on the same day. My embassy interview was scheduled for 9.30am, so I arranged my knightsbridge thing for 1.50pm. Even though I didn't get to the embassy ahead of time so the interview process took a couple of hours, I still had ages to sit down for lunch and slowly wander to the medical.

I was approved at the interview pending medical results, and had my visa turn up a few days later.
