Was it the Air Farce that did that segment where they would ask random Americans questions about Canada?

"How is Canada going to fill up Dalton McGuinty's hole?" and people would answer: "With trash" "with cement"

Close. It was a segment of This Hour has 22 Minutes called Talking to Americans. It was hosted by Rick Mercer. CBC has also had a Talking to Americans 1 hour special as well. Go to YouTube and search Talking to Americans for some good clips! I wonder if the dome is finished being built to protect the national igloo from global warming....

Ahh yes thats it! Thank you!

I am going to go youtube this when I get home. I loved the episode where they were getting Americans to congratulate Canada on finally making insulin legal.

I also get people who laugh about American hockey teams beating Canadian hockey teams. Um where are those players from silly? CANADA!

I had one guy at my old job say: "So we beat the Canadians at their own game"

Duuuh. Some people are just not worth the trouble.

Haha. yeah really. I don't think a single French Canadians plays with the Montreal's Canadians anyways.

OH the other day one of my coworkers walked in and say she saw a Quebec's license plate in the parking lot on a car, so I went outside to check it out but it was gone :(

My husband, I had to question his reasons for marrying me when his mother said he always felt he was half Canadian as a child because he could play hockey so well. And when he found out I was Canadian he said he was extremely intrigued.

Okay I am totally guilty for chasing Ontario cars down while at the shore.

Honestly, if I see one I'll even stick around and wait for the person to come out so I can say hi.

When we're driving and see one, I make it a point to wave like a mad woman, and I am sure they think I'm nuts but its nice to see someone from home.

When I resided at the Barton House apartments in Arlington VA (where Derekkj lives) I was coming down the elevator with my hockey goalie sticks and my equipment bag, the other dude in the elevator asked if I was going camping!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
