Hello,

So my wife submitted her passport on sunday. They gave her a slip stating to come pick it up on Thursday (which is tomorrow). I feel we are soo close now. I just hope we get the visa tomorrow and we are done with this super LONG process. I see a lot of you guys are getting updates, so hopefully soon enough, you will be getting the visa's issued. I will keep you guys updated. Just wanted to share my nervousness :)

It's sad, but I have to confess that I come to this forum everyday, open the spreadsheet and look at all the blue colored cells of all of us journeyers who've received their visas...and it brings me a little comfort of being at the top of the list of those who haven't. Here's to good news coming soon - we're seeing a good trend with Mohammed after 13 months! Hope Zaheer, Dee, and Brahim are coming up soon - with 5 and 4 months respectively, can't be long now!

Maybe it would be helpful if we also tracked who is in AP at the embassy and who is in mandatory AP in 'Washington' (i.e., name checks)? SOrry to be a geek about this, but then we could really do some metrics on the average length of time....

Our AP is internal...our interview was August 24, 2009

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

My fiance called the consulate and asked for the officer that requested our wedding plans. They told him no one is available. He told them that they never email him so they finally responded to his email and told him internal processing the same response they gave me. They were apologetic, but really no movement yet.

I have continued writing to everyone I can think of, but still in the same boat. Maybe someone out there will listen to me soon.

whatznext ur case is re-affirmed by uscis and i was thinking that ur husband will not have another interview for visa and they would just issue him visa without interview but today i read this here.

f the petition is denied the local service center sends the petitioner an 'official' denial letter. This can be be appealed if the denial letter states such.

If the petition is reaffirmed the local service center sends the petitioner an official notice of reaffirmation.

Local service center sends the reaffirmed petition AND its evidence provided in the rebuttal directly to the consulate along with a recommendation to issue a visa.

Consulate notifies the beneficiary of a new interview date.

Beneficiary has interview for the reaffirmed petition and the visa is either issued, or the case in placed in Administrative Processing which after cleared a visa is issued, or worst case scenario it is denied via 221(g) and returned again to the USCIS.
