Conditional Resident Status question

I've been reading through the following: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1____

About removal of conditions and the way it reads to me is regardless of actual length of marriage - if the marriage is less then 2 years on the date you are awarded Permanent Residence, your PR status is conditional for 2 years.

Is that a correct understanding?

I ask because we will be married 2 years in October. We just started our AOS this year because I was on an H1B. So if my case processes quickly and before our 2 year anniversary, I will be in conditional status for 2 years? But if I'm awarded PR after our 2 year anniversary, I'll get the 10 year GC?

If my understanding is correct, I might be one of those people who hope for a slow processing. :)

If married less than 2 years when green-card is issued the green-card will be 2 year conditional, you remove conditions 90 days before the CR-Green-card expiration. 2nd wedding anniversary has nothing to do with when you file I-751 to remove conditions.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Yes - I'm clear the wedding anniversary has nothing to do with removing conditions. Perhaps you misunderstood.

My question was referencing the intial processing of the AOS and if my understanding was correct that if I'm approved for the AOS before our 2nd anniversary, then I'll receive a 2year conditional, if its approved after our 2nd anniversary, then i'll receive a 10 year GC.

Your understanding is correct. If you have been married less than 2 years when your green card is approved, it will be a conditional green card and you will need to remove conditions before it expires 2 years later. If you are married more than 2 years when your green card is approved, then you will get the 10 year unconditional green card.

Thank you. I'm hoping for a November interview then. :)
