Well it doesn't get much simpler than THE GUIDES

You are basically 'out of status' but it's forgiven considering you are just waiting to adjust. It will cost you $1010 to obtain your temporary green card, EAD (work auth) and AP (advanced parole / travel).

The forms are all in the link I gave you above and you can get help filling them out by using the example forms (link at the top)

good luck

p.s. do not leave the Country w/o AP or you will have to start all over again with a spousal visa. ;)

what do you mean by "new status"? at this point, 90 days before your gc expiry date is when you have to apply to lift conditions.

GC = green card. What you have is a two year conditional green card.

As Karen said, you will need to remove conditions...90 days before your 2yr gc expires.

If you came into the US on a K-1 you have a conditional green card. As Kim and Raymaga have said you will have to apply to lift those conditions in two years minus 90 days. Once that has been successfully completed you will have the 10 year green card.

You know, if you had a timeline filled out somewhere, you would be able to get your questions answered a lot better.
