Drivers licence about to expire

Anyone had any recent experience with the DMV (especially in Minnesota) when trying to get a new drivers licence? My AZ licence is expiring 9/14 and I am going to need to go to the DMV in Minnesota and try to get one there. I am thinking that I am going to run into problems with the extension letter. On top of the usual stuff, the extension letter is in my married name, as is my AZ licence. My passport and GC are in my maiden name. anyone have any experience or advice? thank you.

If you live in the twin cities, I would highly recommend going to the DMV office in downtown Minneapolis (in the govt center, 3rd Av and 6th St S). They are extremely efficient and are used to dealing with large immigrant communities and would perhaps have a better understanding of USCIS receipt notices/extension letters than the suburban offices.

If your marriage certificate has both your maiden and your married name, take it with you.

Good luck!

Timeline for Naturalization:

Day 1: Application delivered to AZ

Timeline for Removing Conditions:

Green card received 117 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Timeline for AOS:

Green card received 120 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Make sure to take your marriage certificate with you as well.

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast
