Disappointment to Phil.Post

Last July 25, my fiance sent the documents that I needed in my coming interview and send it thru PhilPost (Philippine Postal) and it's almost three weeks now and yet I did not get hold of it. My worries started to escalate today when I tried to check it in our post office and it's not yet there. It's very unusual coz I used to received letters and cards from U.S. but it only took 10-14 days and it's delivered right here in our doorstep. BTW, I lived here in Zamboanga Sibugay Province and I understand that living in a far-flung province could sometimes take a little longer for any post to be delivered but hey, it's almost 3 weeks where did they sent it? :crying::crying::crying: I'm really worried coz it contain all the original docs like plane ticket, boarding pass, receipts with our names together plus docs of affidavit of support, etc. My Interview will be this Aug. 27 and I'm supposed to fly these coming sunday to Manila to have my medical but how can I fly without those docs that I needed? Is Philpost another gov't backlog? Anybody here experience the same thing like me?

Did you do EMS service at Philpost?

Waht you can do is to track it by phone. I usually track it by calling EMS section.

Philpost EMS tracking phone numbers:

holidays is a good excuse but on my case I really don't know what took them so long to forward it here in my address. All i can do is to hope and pray that it's coming within this week. Anyway, thank you for the quick reply. God Bless.

i don't want to add your worries but just to be sure , tell your fiance to send another affidavit of support through fedex.

coz that happened to me also , a month and half before my interview my husband sent the papers through USPS. and after 2 weeks i called our philpost about the package letter and they can't tell details about that. so after a month, i asked him to send another copies of affidavit using fedex after 5 days , i got it .and the others docs such as ITR,w7, employment letters,he sent a copy online and i just printed it out.

oh btw, they delivered letter notice for letter envelope to my house at the philippines when im already here in US . so while you still have time, do something.

We always use fedex. It's expensive but the security is worth it. We learned when my Christmas cards and letters weren't showing up at her house.

i really hate PHILPOST! I remember i even had an argument with them at their office. My hubby sent gift for me, it's a lipstick and blush on for my birthday. So he thought it was kinda small, he added 3 bottles of multi vitamins in it for my parents. HE sent thru first class so i would received sooner. I kept waiting for almost 1week then the guy from post office just gave me a slip and told me to go to their office to pick up my package. It sounds unusual for me cuz that was not the first time that my hubby sent me stuff thru PHILPOST! When me and my mom came there, I was sooo shocked that i had to pay Php 1,650!!! Of course for me it was soo UNFAIR!!!I felt like, i was paying for my GIFTS?! What the hell?! and I implied that it was a gift for me from my husband and it's not that fancy at all! And THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME that i have to pay for the tax for my package?! I was even sarcastic to them, cuz they were kept explaining that all IMPORTED GOODS are subject to tax??! and I was like, HOW COME JUST NOW????? and they got mad at me almost yelled at me that atleast im lucky enough that i didnt pay for my previous packages??! Then I started to get more irritated!!! I ASKED THEM, SO WHERE THESE MONEY THAT WE PAY FOR THE TAX GOING TO?! and their BIG BOSS entered and said that I AM BASTOS!!!! I dont have respect???? :protest: And I let my mom talked to them and i walked out and said to them that I AM NOT GOING PAY any single pesos and just send back the package to the US!!! I even showed my WALLET and wanted to throw to the BOSS'es face! :diablo: hahahaa! Well, well, well, at the end of the day!!! They gave up and I ENDED UP paying NOTHING!!!! :jest:

I know EXACTLY how you feel... My fiancee was living in Southrrn Leyte and the same thing happened, I sent workout supplements and the tax was more expensive then the supplements. WHAT??? The postal service there is unfair, inconsistant and corrupt. As well I sent her a Blackerry phone from EBAY...it wasnt my PREFERRED method (FEDEX) but USPS. Anyway, the package went through Manila (and customs) but when it got to Leyte, they never delivered it (over a month), then with much pressure and harrassment/threats from me..they CLAIMED it needed custom inspection again and it will take awhile. I called BS and told my fiancee to just drive the 2 hours to the main post office and confront them. When she got there they already knew what the pacage was because they had opened it. I believe they intended on keeping it and hoped it blew over, but after paying over $400 for a phone, there was NOWAY I was going to let it rest, even though I had insurance on it!

I know FEDEX is more expensive but its the fastest, and safest way to ensure they get their stuff...no matter what it is. I have been dealing with the corrupt postal service there for 20 years... its hit or miss.

Just my 2 cents!

Philpost...pffffst!!! Used to take a week for a simple packet from the US and 2 weeks for a simple envelope to the US. It now takes at the least, 3 weeks. An entire month before my husband got the g325a's for our 129F. I had express-mailed a second packet and he got the two on the same day. DUH? And it was a waste of money as our 130 had been sent on to NVC already. So I asked him if NVC was going to use USPS to send me the DS3032 and the other docs. He said that he didn't know. We had both agreed that henceforth, we send docs thru courier, despite the higher costs...should be money well spent in the end, I would think.

He sent a little care package with docs in it which is supposed to take just 6-10 days to arrive...will probably get it by mid-october  I have yet to have to pay any duties on anything he has sent me. I guess there are some post offices that are that corrupt.
