No, there is nothing he can do to with the NVC to get you an appointment with your embassy this month, so he lied to you.

If you want your case to be expedited then you need to submit a request with NVC, keep in mind there are only a few reasons an expedite at NVC will be given. Other than that there is nothing that you can do. Now perhaps your lawyer sees that your case can be given an expedite but that is something you have to talk to them about. If the embassy is aleady full for this month or next month then you have to wait and be calm.

Hello Galaxy,

I thought you had your interview date already. My ex lawyer tried to insinuate that he could get the embassy to schedule a quicker interview, which is absolutely false.

If you do not have an interview date already, you are looking at December at best. IT all depends when the NVC is done with your case.

Good luck!

But even if your expedite gets approved by the NVC, there's no way the embassy will give you an interview date for this month. There's only 2½ weeks left in August and there's just not enough time because you would still have to pay the AOS, IV Bill, and return the I-864 and DS-230 to the embassy itself.

There's just not enough time, I don't know why our lawyer said such thing.

NO!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely nothing! If you have not paid him in full already, get your documents BACK and do not pay them anymore. No one at USCIS is trying to delay or reject your application (it is the biggest lie attorneys use) and they will NOT speed up the process. the only person that can speed up the process is YOU and you do that by having everything ready in advance and calling for your interview the minute the consulate receives your file, no attorney will do that. Not only is it IMPOSSIBLE for an attorney to spped things up, they only thing they can do is DELAY the process because they have other clients to handle.
