Waleed says to me "You just see the Pyramid Cam and think it's like that all over Egypt." lolz. I see that most mornings and I wonder is that fog from the Nile or really air pollution? When r u moving there Melly?

Well, it's not just like that at the pyramids. lol

I remember when flying out of Cairo, and after the plane lifted off and got up in the air a bit, when you look down it's just a brown haze that covers everything.

Hope to be moving in the next couple of months insha'Allah.

He's from Cairo, Heliopolis. His parents built a new house in the 6th of October as well. We haven't been to Alex together yet but I hear a lot of good things about it.

Ah, alright.

Well, we're still looking for places, not sure where we'll settle yet.

Exciting! :star:

He'll be out for good in May? Why not just go visit and come back?

Alex was nice but honestly I liked Cairo better. Perhaps because I only saw the "touristy" area of Alex.

Though I do love being near the water.

We've been apart 2 years and by the time I see him it will have been 2.5 years. I can't afford to spend thousands of dollars traveling back and forth from there while I'm in school. Leaving again after knowing what we'd been through the first time is almost an unbearable idea. Married ppl shouldn't be apart. It's been so painful.

His official release date is April 30th. He was confirmed as the Doctor for El Gouna resort but now he is saying he's looking into some other better job offers in and around Cairo. We may end up living in New Cairo for this.

There are no immediate plants to come back. I'm selling my stuff and heading on out. lol, all of a sudden the theme song to the Beverly Hillbillies came into my head.

We may move to another country at some point, but not necessarily back to the US. Maybe Kuwait or someplace else. Who knows what the future will bring.

So for all intents and purposes, it is permanent. With trips back to the states to visit family and friends insha'Allah. :luv:

Now that is an adventure! I'm debating weather to sell all my stuff or put it in storage because I don't know if I'll be back soon either. We've been turned down for three co-sponsors and I'm still looking for one. Waleed's next suggestion is moving to UAE or...I can't remember the other place. It's funny. My Mom says no you come back here and bring him here and she's one of the ones that turned us down for co-sponsor.

lol, parents are uh, strange sometimes. :D

I don't want to waste the money with storage, it's way too expensive here, and to be honest, it feels nice to get rid of stuff that you accumulate over so many years. It's a bit scary to have "nothing" so to speak, but liberating too.

Would you move someplace you've never been before? Or you'd want to go check it out first? Would you be okay just staying in Egypt?

It depends on the place. If it's UAE then I'd move there sure. If it was the Congo I'd have to decline. I'm fine just staying in Egypt but he'd make better money as a Doctor in UAE or where ever else he mentioned.
