Hi,

I got a letter from the NVC that our petiton is being forwarded to the US embassy in Manila Now does this mean we can call them? Or do we wait until she gets her packet?

"Starting March 19, 2008, those applying for K-1, K-2, K-3 and K-4 visas who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview can call 1-909-101-7878 (within the Philippines) to schedule an interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. The cost of the 909 service is U.S. $0.98 per minute; this amount will be charged to your telephone bill."

Thanks, Keith

No she don't have to wait for the packet... All she need to is to call the USEM if the your fiancee's papers already.. Give a 5 days or a week after the issue date of NVC letter before calling the USEM.

Visa Fee - pay at any BPI branch accredited by USEM

Medical Fee - at St. Luke's during her medical

Doc Verification - Metrobank (DELBROS Account)

If you are not in a hurry to get a sched of her interview, she can wait for the letter from USEM (which takes long, really). If you want to get a sched the soonest possible time, wait for a week from the day NVC delivers your papers to USEM. You or your fiancee can call USEM after a week and inquire if they already have your papers, then you can sched interview by calling USEM's call center using the PIN.

USEM's #s : (02) 301-2000 or (02) 528-6300 (to inquire if they have gotten your papers, look for Grace or Lorraine)

Good luck

Keith

She can get it before or after she has the visa. I suggest though she goes when she has the visa so that she no longer have to go back to have her passport stamped with CFO sticker which is a requirement during her trip.

I heard the same problem over and over here. I suggest you call USEM and ask Grace or Lorraine to confirm. Some call center agents do not know what they are talking about.
