Finding a schedule of the Naturalization Ceremonies

First step is to find the information on your field office where you had your interview. I found the one for St. Paul, MN at:

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...or.statecode=MN

Near the bottom of the page I found this statement.

"Naturalization Information

For information on Naturalization Ceremonies, please visit the Minnesota US District Court website at www.mnd.uscourts.gov. A schedule of the Naturalization Ceremonies can be found under the ''General Information'' section of the website."

Going to www.mnd.uscourts.gov and searching for General Information got me no where, but they did have a site search engine and I typed in, "Naturalization" that led me to a list of replies where a link, "Naturalization Schedule - 2008" was present, clicked on that and learned:

ugust

6th - Bethel University

10:00 - Judge Montgomery

2:00 - Judge Ericksen

20th - St. Cloud

11:00 - Judge Schiltz

September

9th - Convention Center

11:00 - Judge Rosenbaum

12th - Marshall, MN

TBD - Judge Kyle

18th - Moorhead St. University

11:00 - Tunheim

October

15th

11:00 - Judge Rosenbaum

2:00 - Judge Davis

29th

11:00 - Judge Tunheim

2:00 - Judge Montgomery

November

12th

10:00 - Judge Frank

2:00 - Judge Schiltz

19th

11:00 - Judge Ericksen

2:00 - Judge Rosenbaum"

What did I learn from this? For one thing we missed the one held yesterday and will more than likely miss the one held the 20th. Learned that this court handles all of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western Wisconsin and since St. Paul is only 15 miles away from the WI border, a lot of people have a much longer drive than us. This court claims to have given the oath ceremony to over 14,000 people last year, with those kinds of numbers, everyone up here must be an immigrant.

What did I learn from my mailbox today? Maybe tomorrow.

Tried this for a number of different field offices at:

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

Places like NYC, Chicago, Milwaukee, Houston do not list ceremony schedules, but Dallas does, maybe you are fortunate if your field office does not list the ceremonies, can say your oath after the interview and get it over with. St. Paul on the other hand if held at the convention center goes as far as stating have to check in a 9:00AM where the actual ceremony begins at 11:30 AM, guess they want to make sure you are good and bored before starting. Ha, just like their airport, have to check in 3 hours before only to board the plane to wait another two hours before they take off.

Regarding USC, it's only important to my wife and me, not even planning a family party, it doesn't affect none of our family members, we just want to get it over with. Been a long over five year period of this stuff, getting tired.
