Is anyone here familiar with IGI in New Delhi?

Specifically:

1. How does the 'left luggage' facility work? How long can luggage be stored there? Cost (approx)?

2. How does the terminal transfer from domestic to international work? How long? How frequent?

are you taking the same airline from domestic to international? you will have to transfer your own luggage if it is a different airline, we went through that from international to domestic at that airport. we no nothing about storage of luggage, sorry I cant help there.

I haven't done a search on it lately but indiamike.com has a ton of info about the airport set up, the bus schedule between the terminals, and the left luggage area.

That airport was an absolute mess back in March, not sure if the work is done yet, but holy crow - it was a nightmare.

This is one of several reasons I prefer going through Chennai--the "Anna" (international) and "Kamraj" (domestic) terminals are basically adjoined @ 90^o, so one has to drag overloaded luggage a maximum of about 250 m to transfer international/domestic (unlike the 6 km between domestic and international at Mumbai, or similar at Delhi on busses).
