We were approved in the same batch!!! :wow:

So they had the petition since the 9th -- that's about 17 days (including weekends). We've both been married before so there was that extra bit to process... both have children... I should imagine that a simple first marriage might be easier to deal with. And maybe I included too much proof that we're a legit couple. If I had to do it all again, I'd include less financial information. Just a photo of our family should have been enough for anyone. Two boys from him, two girls from me, extended family from both sides. You can see by the way we look that this is for real.

Anyway, congratulations to my fellow transferees!!! I feel like we should get diplomas and caps and gowns. The California Class of August 26, 2008 please stand up!

The rest of you guys get ready for some good news! I can't tell you how wonderful this feels. Finally. I finally believe that this will happen.

It was so cool to get the text message (I had it sent to my mobile). Unfortunately you can't see the entire content because it is too long so I had to walk all the way to my office from the parking lot (kinda far) and then I had to wait for my systems to boot -- I checked with the one that booted fastest. But I kinda had a feeling that it was going to be an approval. In the past I've expected an RFE but something this morning told me otherwise. Wishful thinking, I guess.

Dang, I'm happy!!

Go California!!!

And with Vermont actually approving a CR1/IR1 today, I'm thinking that things may be looking up for everyone. I'll try not to be too optimistic because USCIS has this way of kicking us in the teeth. But I will be thinking about everyone and hoping for the best.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
