Got letter from NVC with a case number assigned. Is this the same case number Ankara's embassy will use for their paperwork? From other cases assigned it looks like it would be. Can someone confirm this for me. Thanks in Advance!

Yes, that is the number the Consolate assigned the case will use, which in your case will be Ankara. You will need it to reference your case when dealing with the Consolate.

weareone, what case number are you refering to? The USCIS case number (Receipt Number), or the NVC case number?

They are two entirely different numbers.

Yes, the NVC assigned case number is the same the consulate will use...

YMMV

The case number from NVC starts with letters which are an abbreviation of the embassy handling the case. You will need this case number for medical examinations, appointments or for reference in email or phone calls.

This case number is not available for any online email notification like your case number from the USCIS. It is strictly a State Department number and they do not have an online notification service.
