Questions: Do you mean you and your spouse went for interview? Did ypu feel confident about the answers during the interview?

Let's hope for the best, did you get this white paper with checklist and had the x mark saying to wait for 2 weeks? It's actually should be white paper and not a white slip.

Like others I never heard anything about it. How would they expect you to get the passport back if no DELBROS fee? Should you come for pick up? Pick up place at Windows 34, maybe there is hope that you will pick it up because they have that pick up Window.

The fact that they hold your passport might be a good sign after all.

With prayers I am sure everything will be fine.

Most likely, your case is under Adminstrative Review. Don't panic - it's pretty common.

"Administrative Review" refers to a Consular Official placing the case "on hold" because the Visa Petitioner or Beneficiary FAILED TO PASS the security name check or background check, or because the Consulate or State Department or Homeland Security NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE some issue or matter in the case more closely. Cases placed into Administrative Review can ADD WEEKS OR EVEN MONTHS to processing time and final decision on visa issuance, typically in most cases AT LEAST 4 to 8 weeks additional time. Under current regulation, there is no right of appeal within State Department or Homeland Security for administrative review status. It is suggested that visa petitioners and beneficiaries keep track of the status of their case as best as possible, and secure, if possible, the reason or reasons their case has been placed into administrative review, which at least helps to relieve some anxiety during the waiting time.

After your interview, did the CO ask you to go wait for your name to be called at window 37 and 38?

Usually, after the interview at windows 27 to 32, the applicant would wait outside, near windows 37 and 38. When the name is called, they will give the pink/white slips there.

Keep us posted!

yes i believe there is some things needed to be clarified since they have the passport. never heard of this before but i think the best way is for you to call the USEM and tell them your concern...you can tell them that you have some people u know who had interview before and was advice to wait for their names to be called again then was given either a pink or white piece of paper..but in ur case nothing was given so you just want to clarify things up.

i think thats the best way..

if u mind..u can share to us what happened on the interview..why it took that long and u said you were there too??

is there anything in ur case that u think would be a reason of being on hold?

we're all here to give u advice.

pray for God's wisdom
