Black Belt for Six Sigma is what I meant maliciant. The course is so expensive! I can't afford it there.

WOW!!! For the first time I have witnessed a booboo moment... LOL

You can't get your black belt in america? This might surprise you but there are many martial arts studio's of all kinds in america... the teachers and teaching style may change but I think it's more about the student than the teacher, the teacher can only help you learn, the student is the one who actually decides to learn or not.

Shan - I am so excited for you. Please do tell when you get to see her and the pictures don't forget.

Gemmie - I can print out certs but lordy it is so expensive there and I won't be working when I get there so that may be a long shot. I might proceed with a masters or law though. I will yet have to see my options. Or maybe I would just be at home, doing some embroidery, or gardening and stuff like that.

Dani - K1 was something we thought we had a better leverage on. Same things Gemmie cited. It just looks like when you go to the US for a visit, they won't really mind that much.

Mara - set the date when this is. I will take care of the printing of the shirts using old school silk screen methods! LOL Or maybe we can have like sunvisor types and have August Filer embroidered on it. What do you think?

My day just keeps getting worse, my court date has been set for 30th April.

April for gods sake was hoping to have it all done by Feb.

In my situation we decided that because we didn't want to have a husband/wife far away. Plus I understand that bringing a spouse takes much longer and sometimes getting paperwork like a marriage certif is a hassle in other countries. Plus I couldn't afford being more than 2 weeks out and wedding arrangements take time. In Chile you even have to make a prenuptial course for a civil wedding!! sucks!

Oops, I guess I'd never heard of belts used outside of martial arts, I didn't realize it was a business course... looking at wikipedia it reads very much like something I've read before... I think maybe my fiancee's employeer maybe teaches that course or something similar, or I've actually looked it up before because the wording seems like I've read it before, word for word...

I still think you should learn to kick people in the head and chock them though! Gotta balance out the happy dancing with the ability to destroy small buildings with your fists!

I like the idea of a meet up, but I think we'll find a lot of logistical problems, most people aren't going to live that close together, realistically we're talking a day of travel probably by car or worse for many people no matter where the meet is... which means... it probably should occur in a major city (the kind with a hub airport like chicago, la, denver, phoenix, etc). For those that live close enough to a major airport tickets are quite cheap from one major airport to another... something like $150-200 is pretty common, I have a friend or two who date long distance... but live in major cities... I get jealous when they can buy a ticket for 10% what it'll cost me to buy a ticket to visit my SO... unfortunately for me I'm not really close enough to a major airport, I'm unlikely to be able to make any meetups, money will be tight and it's closer to 600-800 for a ticket to a major airport... I just don't think I love you guys enough to spend that kinda money (x2!), but on the other hand, set a date and let's see what happens a year or so from now haha.

Maliciant - I do have a brown belt in tae-kwon-do... Let's check into the meetups further. For sure, me and Dani will meet up for the Dublin Irish Festival in OH. We're just likle 4 hours apart. Yipee!!! Who knows, you just might have us as an alibi for a weekend getaway to the east coast.

I kinda like november... let's linger here a bit... it's my favorite month... ok, yeah, enough of that, I'm still just getting used to the idea it's november not october and it's already half over? We haven't even gotten to the part of november I like the most!

Donna-marie: Unfortunately a lot of peoples lives end up in the hands of the courts when there are children involved, it can be difficult to move 30 miles much less change countries, I'm surprised we don't see more about this on VJ (or maybe I'm not paying attention to the right forum, which is probably the real issue).

Donna I am so sorry to hear that you are being stuffed around that really bites.

HD, your now officially in charge of shirts, this screen printing thing sounds like it might be a little to creative for me lol.

As for the meet up thing, I thought it might be fun to try. I would think that it would be towards the end of next year (maybe August lol) to ensure that Gemmie and Donna are here and ready to roll. As for a location, we I don't know, where is everyone heading as a final destination?

Mine is DC, so getting in and out is fairly easy.
