I saw an article posted about USCIS hiring IBM, they expect it to increase processing speed at least 20% and possibly a lot more, some of the people here were critical of how 'safe' the information would be in the new system... and I'm reasonably confident it will be safe enough... but I think it will mark the end of the PoE not knowing about your K-1 application being in progress, I'm not sure if that'll likely mean a bar for people visitting their SO because they know that they are in the process (this seems dumb, especially since the consulates value actual time spent together so much) or if it'll maybe make it a little easier since they'd know you are attempting to follow the rules... in the end it'll probably make... no difference at all hehe. Also, as far as going months with no information, I strongly suspect that even the system will be more capable and real time, no dusty old boxes etc... there is a good chance that petitions will still sit with a status of "pending" for pretty much the entire time. Just because they *CAN* show more detail, doesn't mean they will... and just because your application won't physically collect dust... doesn't mean there is actually anything else going on... I'm sure they'll still have a huge backlog and a nice 3-4+ month wait for some kind of action to happen. I'd hope that those cases where people get hung up in some kind of security check will be indicated... sure those long waits for NOA2's that are processed normally suck but when someone is stuck waiting for 6+ months with just 'pending' that's too much...

I think this thread is going all emo, everyone is missing their SO... personally I'm feeling much better after having a nap, my headache is gone (which was adding to how much today sucked in general) and as an added bonus I'm not so tired now, a nice little bonus sleeping can cause sometimes, in addition to sleeps real benefit, which is how much faster time seems to fly while sleeping... I'd like to take a nap for about 2 months...

Oops, I just noticed... I'M KING OF PAGE 88, BOW BEFORE ME!!!

All hail Maliciant... I think I have not had enough sleep in the past 3 days too and that's what's causing the crankiness. There's this construction going on beside the flat that i am renting and so yes, the beatin' and bangin' does get into my nerves especially when I need to sleep since I work the night shift. It sucks big time.

I am now getting ready again for another shift. I have decided to just go back to the office and get some things done and sleep at night.

I do think lack of sleep is my problem and thus it is adding extra load to my sensitive female side because I am missing my country boy.

Chris & Mara are you all ready for the release of WoTLK on Thursday, 13 Nov 2008?

Is the release date for Australia the same as US?

Some of my friends want me to meet up with them at midnight to be the first to get it on release day.

I pre ordered the collectors edition. Have the first one and TBC as collectors edition too.

I think i would be a lot more excited and motivated to show up at midnight to stand in line at the CSC to receive my NOA2!

I'm feeling a little temptation to pick up WoTLK myself (translation for those who don't immediately know what we're talking about... the new expansion for world of warcraft)... but I'm going to have to resist the temptation... I don't like video games that I can't pause when my fiancee shows up online hehe.

Lol see the added advantage is that Chris and I play the silly game together, we complete the quests together etc which is nice because it makes us feel sort of like we are doing something "together"

We get ours over here on Friday the 14th ironically, it can however be picked up at midnight, but seeing as though i am working 8-3 then 4-9 Friday I think ill get my sleep. My little sister is however going to drive into the coast to pick up the pre-ordered copy that Chris brought for me :) No collectors edition though, I have never seen/heard of them being released in Oz before.

Personally I would make the sacrific to wait in line at USCIS for that little piece of paper that said we could do real things together rather then meaningless online quests too.....

You can pause it Mailicant, you dont die when you log off, just everyone else moves forward a little :P

That works great if you are not in an instance or other part of the game where several other people are relying on you to pay attention!!!

Piff whats this pay attention #######? I have the attention span of a flea half the time and have a habbit of just putting someone on follow and alt tabbing. It may help that I am a senior officer in the guild that i have been in for the better part of 3 years and im marrying the now GM and RL so nobody is going to pick a fight with me fast...

Cuchita: I'm not sure that's a good idea really, but something that maybe should be suggested to captain ewok, a nice little automatic reminder to update your timeline, maybe when people pass the expected noa2 date or something.

Another july NOA2 at CSC (for last week, not the current week), and yep, I saw the brad and vicka approval, I assume this means I spend too much time here, they spend too much time here, or just that as a result of how people tend to flow through VJ and fade out after they get their approvals/visa's, that as we move closer to our own NOA2's we're have met/known a lot of the people who are receiving there's just before us.

Anyway, another exciting week of overanalyzing the igor list results, right now I'm wondering if there are more approvals showing up for last week because of problems with the online system not reporting approvals and people are only finding out when they receive the hard copy, or if it's just because everyone was on vacation yesterday.

We're half way through the week though and that's never a bad thing.

Oh yeah, and what get together?
