The top 100 of igor's list is riddled with people who may have wandered off and stopped visitting VJ, part of why once you hit the top 100 movement is going to slow down a lot, not that it matters because it seems anyone in the top 150 is due a NOA2. Igor's list ignor's people outside of the processing timeline I assume to prevent the list from growing with no end in sight from people who do wander off and forget thier timelines. Seems like I had looked at the timeline earlier and might have been about 10 places lower than now... there is some up and down fluctuation and I don't think it's purely people joining VJ that happen to have sent thier applications in before me. It is sorted on the date you sent the application instead of the NOA1 date.

Good afternoon eveyone!

Looks like im two hours ahead of all our lovely august Philippine friends so looks like there will be someone to post on VJ every hour of the day and night (no wonder we are up to 43 pages already lol!)

Had a good but very sad day at work today. One of the teacher's aide's husbands passed away last night and we are a small community and family in our little town, so everyone has been pulling together to support her and her family. The school is going to do a sausage sizzle next wednesday and the money raised is going to go to her, I was incrediably touched today when I told the year 5 class that I was taking for the day what had occured, they were all very sympathic and wanted to be able to help out or donate money, one little boy told me that he was going to bring the $13 dollars he had saved up to buy a new DS game to donate to the fund raiser instead. Another girl told me she didn't like sausages but she was going to bring money in anyway because she wanted to help out.

It is very touching that 10 year olds could be so mature and caring.

Other then this a busy day.

I heard from Chris again today, he is sick which makes me sad that i can't be there to give him a hug and look after him lol. He is faxing me through the back of the bank check he recieved tomorrow to see if i can decode what the number is at the back, can anyone give me an approximation of how the number should look so I have a better chance at working it out tomorrow (apparently it is pretty smugged - trust our luck!).

Was trolling around the other forums before and found something that may be useful for us all next year http://www.fiddlers.us/questions/ it is a list of the possible questions you can be asked in the interview.... after reading them I am actually wondering if there is anything they don't want to ask me.... in fact I am surprised that the question "what colour underwear does your SO wear?" or "How often does your SO do laundry"....

Hope everyone has had a good day, how was the shopping HD? End up with anything exciting?

And thanks for the clear up of only having of be under 150 to be in NOA2 range there Maliciant (good spotting) that means we are definately past the half way mark and that means that this long week is one less and we are all now on the downward slope of our August hill :)

Looks like Decemeber is going to be a very good month for a lot of reasons!!!!

Donna,

With the number is it 3 letters and then the rest numbers? (so im not going to find like a random "A" as the 6th place?)

I also think the school will pool together quite a bit and every little helps in that situation :)

There is a post somewhere explaining it... but it's something like the first three letters WAC or EAC (you know this part already), then 08 for 2008, the number of days from the first of the year that your petition was recieved, so jan 1 is 001, jan 2 is 002... the next month would be 031 assuming 30 days in jan, then there are 5 more numbers, having something to do with the number of petitions recieved on that day. This is second hand from memory (and looking at my own noa1)

Hmm mine doesn't seem to follow that formula.. I have the EAC and the 08 for the year but everything else is just random numbers.

Sorry to hear your news Mara, children can be incredibly comforting at a time like this.. I really hope she pulls through okay with the support of others around her.

By the way guys, I'm getting my police certificate ordered at the end of the month. :D It takes a month to get it and it's valid for a year at the London consulate (even though it says 6 months on the certificate) so I'm well within both of those restrictions. I'm also going for my injections at the end of November.

All helps to feel you're getting things done ahead of time.

Damn it Gemmie! I thought I had figured out what the first 5 letters should be lol.

Oh well, suppose Ill just have to wait for chris to send it though and see what i can make of it.

I was considering do a blood test at the doctors next month to see my vaccination record (since i have no idea where it is) and organise which ones i will need to pass the medical over the following weeks.

As for the police check I had one done recently (being a teacher and all) however i didnt get a copy of the report so i am supposing i will have to get a new one, might as well files for one next month, they are vaild for 12 months over here so should be good.

I have started a collection in a draw of things to take to the interview, im going to start organising them (as proof of on-going relationship etc) prob start of December. I think I am really luck that chris is coming to visit me in December/jan, means i will have lots of fresh face to face stuff for the interview :D

Hello hello hello!!! Me is back from my shopping. LOL It's funny because it's not for me now. Mom needs some stuff at home from the grocery and she was giving me a hard time about it. I love it when she does that. It's cute that she asks for things from me now. My mom is a very proud woman. It's great to actually see her put her guards down with her "kids" now. :)

How's everybody?
