OMG Habibi! I really hope that is your NOA2, I am sure it is, wait for an email later tonight or even tomorrow:)

As for me, no news, no touches, nothing. You all will be the first ones (after my fiance of course :) ) to know about my NOA2 as soon as I get it! I really hope to hear something by next week, don't want to drag my sorry butt over to the 6 months+ waiting club and introduce myself there, I feel so terrible for those pple waiting in there. BUT, interestingly, the 2 approvals from CSC this week, one of them (and another one last week) were approvals for pple waiting from July. Really don't want to join the 6 months+ club... :crying:

Still trying to keep strong and praying for my NOA2...this week would be fabulous, but next week is the final straw!

Cases are processed in the order they are received.......riiiiiight USCIS.

You should have had your case processed by now, seeing as there are people who filed 3-4 weeks after you who have been approved. I hope you see your NOA2 this week, if not this week.. definitely next week. If not next week, than I hope you find a way to raise holy hell with CSC about what the status of your case is.

I-129F mailed to VSC - 08/27/08

I-129F recieved at VSC - 08/28/08

Yup, exactly what I am gearing up to do. It has been a month since CSC has received my RFE response. And the day I hit day # 181, I will be mailing the senators, congressmen, and making calls to CSC until I get real answers and my approval. It is nice that people are getting approved after me at CSC, but it really hurts that I don't have approval and they do...*sigh*

Thanks for the info ndalessandro. I will see about making an INFOPASS appointment because I don't want to make a trip all the way down to the office and then they tell me the same BS that I hear on the phone. I have talked to immigration officers at CSC before and they don't really help much. I will call CSC again on Monday demanding to speak to an IO if I do not get my NOA2 by the end of this week. And I am preparing letters for senators and congressmen. I hope you don't hit day 181 and get our NOA2 before that. It is so frustrating that we are still waiting yet pple after us are approved :( I am happy for them, but can't help feeling depressed for us.

Hey guys, sorry been gone for a while, construction at the house so been crazy busy.... got my formal letter from NVC... "The NVC has recently recieved an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forewarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place"... bla bla bla....

Guys, is it safe to assume that this is a good thing?.... I was reading some horror stories in another forum... someone had typed that they were calling NVC for the past 5 weeks, and kept being told they were in "administrative processing"....This doesnt seem like a pre-printed letter, so do you think they will ACTUALLY send it within a week, or is there still a chance that I could be stuck in administrative processing?... Was there anyone you guys know that got stuck in processing for an extended period of time? Thanks for taking the time to read and answer. Hope you guys are having a good week.

Harsh: If you got the letter, then they are sending the case within a week as they say to your embassy. People that get stuck in AP at NVC don't get that letter, they don't get any correspondence from NVC until NVC writes to them that they are sending the letter.

Habibi: Your approval will be here later tonight or early tomorrow morning :)

Agreed. I really am happy for people who have received their approval and are able to move on with the process, and ultimately their lives. But at the same time, I am depressed when I see someone approved who filed much later than me.

I honestly do not mind waiting, if I know that the people being approved are people who filed before me.

You should call them for sure that your file has been sent to your consulate. I received letter in 01-12 (01-08 sent) that NVC got it in 01-05. I called them in 01-12, they told me my case was in AP. I received 2nd letter in 01-16 (01-13 sent) stated the same. I called today and my case still in AP.

Call them for sure.
