Hey Guys I have an affidavit of support question.....I think I might have jumped the gun alittle.... I sent my SO a package a week ago that included the affidavit and supporting docs........then I began to think.....she probably will not interview until mid to late March and the consulate may view the docs as dated....do you guys think this will be the case?

Pure guess, but I would say depends on embassy, officer, and what they request. Since interview is March, you are before 2008 Tax deadline, so I think you should be fine. generally, most things they consider good for 6 months I think.

Its funny that this board has gone from What the heck is taking VSC so long to What size luggage is allowed! I remember the last time I was flying out from Manila and the girl infront of me had like 8 or 9 bags and didnt realize there was going to be a excess bag fee....(she obviously was not a vj member)..Another thing I noticed....It is COLD here not the 10 degrees celsius (50 degrees Faren) filipinas call cold.....I mean when you fly into Detroit it could be 10 degrees (F) !!! -12 ©....So try not to wear a skirt!

Yeah, I've told my fiancee what the weather is like here, but I don't think someone who has never left the philippines before can really grasp just what freezing weather is really like... when your only exposure to snow is watching people in movies lay down in a pile of fluffy white stuff and frolick around in it... well, it kind of doesn't give you any idea what it's really like, especially since those actors aren't even cold most of the time they shoot a scene like that hehe... luckily for my fiancee I think the worst part of the winter may be over for this year, we'll still get some freezing weather I'm sure but I think mostly it'll hover around the 50-60 mark and up... this has been the coldest year since I've been in missouri by far, I grew up in alaska too so the previous winters have been a joke to me (I think I've become more used to the hot weather though... so that's probably part of it too).

Rod and Lu: I think the docs will be fine, if it takes a long time to schedule the interview then you may have to send more, but I don't think that'll be a problem. I don't know if the brazil embassy is hard to deal with, check the regional forums if you haven't been and look for the reasons people get denied, it's often very different per each embassy (philippines seems to deny for lack of financial support more than anything else, but admitted drug use is a universal denial I think... and of course not knowing those basic questions like fiance age name and job are an issue always).

THanks Terri, I'll remember!

Have a safe flight Maliciant, the interview will go smoothly, I'm sure. So here's my premature "congratulations" for ending this part of the visa journey. I have full faith that this is the end for the K1 stage for you.

I was supposed to be going to the doctors tomorrow to get my injections but because of how crappy the UK deals with extreme weather, everything has shut down because of the snow! I don't think I can catch a train anymore.. may have to re-schedule my appointment for next week, which is annoying because I can't do anything until I get those injections/vaccination record.

I'm so happy that NOA2s are flying in this thread, I'm crossing my fingers for Mara and Dani now. Come on girls!!

HD: I hope your mom get's better soon, the k-1 process is enough stress by itself.

I've finally finished all the work hurdles... I'm just doing some final steps to insure that if there is an emergency I can do work/access things remotely etc... then it's head home, deposit some cash (GET SOME CASH... or as I prefer to call it SWEET LEWTZ and FABULOUS PRIZES!) and get to the packing... no more work between me and my woman, I can see my desktop background at work (which happens rarely when I have to reboot the computer basically) and wow... I can't wait! I'm just a little packing, a short nap and a LOOOONG plane ride away now! I'll probably get a few more posts in before I leave but hard to say, after I get packed (which involves printing some chat transcripts and emails and phone logs etc) I'm off to my brothers house, they'll drop me off and pick me up at the airport... I've got butterflies in my stomach... and my eye's are watery... probably just cause of the humidity here and uh... that I've been staring at a monitor all day and uh... maybe someone is cutting some onions in the next room.

Anyway... I'll be pretty upset if the august thread slides down to page 5 while I'm gone, so I need the other august filers to pick up my slack while I'm gone!
