Jeff and Quinyon in the September CSC thread, they were touched yesterday. So it looks like your approval is on its way too Amy!

Yippee!

HOLY COW!!!!!!! I am going to pee my pants!!! :wow:

Looks like based on the time they SENT it, they're in line with all the others...based on what others have it looks like your timeline is 4-6 weeks (unless they speed it up). I'm only looking at 4-4 1/2months, though when sent and when NOA2 comes...all depends on how you look at it.

(Goodness, with that long, there will be a lot of pee, odor and mess to clean up and carpet and couches to replace)! LOL!

Yes, seems like it! But the action doesnt really get posted till the evening when people check their mail and emails.

It's past 5, haven't they gone home or do they work late? Looks like nothing today from VSC...maybe tomorrow but it seems to come in waves from what the logs say

(First time I saw that LONG time line you've got, I though Holy cow, what are they doing to him...so many steps until I read it and realized NOA1 was way down towards the bottom of the timeline! LOL Gets your attention)!

Here are the most recent one's...if you look, it seems the sent dates are mid to end of July (but for this month--not earlier one's) there's correlation with NOA1, as well. If you look back when eveyone was delayed, the sent dates were close where the NOA1 dates varied by 2 months.

I dunno...trying to rationalize the irrational ;)

It's past 5 but I think they have a flex time thing going on... sometimes people get approval notices that are sent on weekends etc (or have in the past). 9-6 is a pretty common set of work hours too, I don't really know when they typically get off work... but at the same time not everyone lives in the same timezone in Vermont... another thing is it does seem like the emails are sent in clumps or something as many times several people seem to get the email notice close together, we can't really see that stuff for sure.

But right now at CSC it's only 2:30... so they had best be slaving away still! We need our thread whips and chains master to go slave driver mode (that's stinkerpotsam... I forget what her official title is but I'm pretty sure she's at least qualified to work with whips!). I'm ready to go home, and eat the last of my leftovers... and then go on the prowl for something else delicious to attack... I'm hungry (a side effect of working late)... As a substitute for food, I'd accept a NOA2

Ahh... you are looking at Vermont, California hasn't hit the beginning of August filers yet, it just started randomly in the middle of August. Check out the California approvals, they are still in the end of July and then skipped to the middle of August.

I just checked over the past year at those whose wait times were more than 21 days from sent date to NOA1 and either they were trying to make it up to them or they really do go by the sent date not the NOA1 date to base (what appears to be a similar timeline goal)

THe average period was 3 months earlier this year but now it's looking like 4 1/2 months from sent date to NOA2.

I'll have to see if there's a search mechanism to check sent-NOA2 times and compare that with NOA1-NOA2 times (which seem more erratic)....

but, in the end, knowledge avails us nothing but sitting back nodding in agreement or disagreement but doesn't get the goal (the VISA, not NOA2 or NOA1 or interview...but the VISA)!

OK, I'm done frothing at the bit...Pom tongkan Pom Suaay Dee Mia Tilac Seksee Visa dtonee chingching laolao kap! (oyyy, me penha chingching kap...oyyyyy)!

I believe this is the VSC August thread (see the first and second post when this thread was opened)..they said there was a CSC August thread (second post) unless they merged them together.

I think it was too late or somehow they couldn't revise the title so likely many CSC's came on board which may explain the size.

.

Problem is I have to plan my trip (buy tickets when NOA2 comes to estimate when to go and stay there for a month, get married over there, then bring her back)...can't really stay 2 months.

Hold on there!!! If you get married after your K1 is granted it becomes INVALID!!!! And your SO can be denied entry!!!

Then you must start all over again using the K3 route.

If you are applying with the K1 you MUST GET MARRIED IN THE UNITED STATES!!!

Wonder why they started in the middle of August and skipped the beginning of the month. I don't think they have an order, someone grabbed a random pile.

That's what I've been thinking, as well as saying. Perhaps a few (no idea what the actual number would be) USCIS workers are in a bit of a hurry before the holidays (planning to be away for a bit longer, or whatnot) and therefore they decided to finish the pile assigned to them a bit earlier. Who knows. It doesn't make much sense, but I have to say I still appreciate the outcome.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm getting closer and closer to where I can actually pack my bags and leave. Down from 9 to 7 exams in two days, taking one more tomorrow. Well, okay, I'm still in need of a visa, but like someone said earlier in the thread - I don't consider denial an option either. Or try to believe so.

Let me clarify myself after seeing some things; I think this started as a VSC thread but I see the August CSC thread didn't start (like it does other months) so it looks like VSC and CSC are all in this thread.

Please accept my apologies! I bookmarked this in my computer and labeled it as VSC August back when it started but I don't drop in often and didn't see what had happened.

It's OK. I'll make reference on my posts to VSC and CSC to try to avoid confusion now that I see we got merged together, then (since we're so close, it's too late to separate by centers).

Sorry about that! I might as well be a newbie spouting off knowing nothing!

No worries :) I am a September filer myself just dropping in to see all the excitement of all the August filers getting approved. :)

I think this is the busiest thread on the board right now and a fun place to read seeing everyone's excitement.

There is actually a VSC only thread out there somewhere, I seem to recall seeing it once... but this one has pretty much always just been a combined thread and I assume that it was the intent of the original poster, it was just assumed by the next reply that they had meant it to be VSC specific because the poster filed at VSC...

HYENA: Your post might have been easier to read if you used CODE and /CODE tags around it, the spacing may have remained consistant... or you could have manually aligned it...

I'm of the opinion that CSC has had a few early august approvals.

1   Anastassia & Alex  2008-08-01  2008-08-07   2008-12-16  2008-12-17
7   Israel & Maria     2008-07-31  2008-08-07   2008-12-15  2008-12-15

The first one is definitely august, no question... and I consider the second one an august filer too, there isn't much chance that petition was actually received in july, some may disagree on that one, but either way, that's about as early august as it gets for CSC. Then of course we have my favorite approvals...

14   Badgerella & Minibadger  2008-08-20  2008-08-27   2008-12-12  2008-12-12
15   Kuna & D                 2008-08-20  2008-08-27   2008-12-12  2008-12-12

They are either mid-month or end of the month depending on how you want to look at them... they are my favorite though because they match my sent and NOA1 dates, I'm still hopeful I'm on that particular dudes desk but it's seeming less likely as time goes on, I might just have to stay in line behind the early august filers (hey, if the government makes me cut in front of you in line... it's not my fault... seriously...). Anyway, at this point we just need to see lots of approvals, there have been a range of approvals for august filers already, now we just need to see about 60 or so more approvals (this week would be nice but I assume it'll take closer to 3).

That's OK...we're nearly done (can you believe it)!!!!!!!! It was my mistake; I didn't see what had happened and assumed VSC got massive and didn't realize CSC fell by the wayside early on when they were unable to edit the title....my ignorance completely! I'll just clarify VSC or CSC but we're really in the same boat wanting the same thing!

None of it matters now because this is what it is not what my insane brain "thought" it was (thanks for bringing me back to earth)!

We're REALLY REALLY CLOSE to having huge smiles on our faces!

I'm just happy to see everyone get their approvals.... GOOD NEWS comes FREQUENTLY here and it's very encouraging to see!
