Yeah I understand the hair up but not all up, something like an antique style will go great with that dress, plus is something different.

Beautiful I love the back, what hairstyle you are going to use?

And the big moment!!!!!

Went to my dress fitter this afternoon and she has done a spectacular job!!!

Fitted prefectly, she just has to finish off the beading on the back, and put on the straps (which she was waiting till today to measure).

She also had a look at my veil ( I am wearing the one my mum wore at her wedding 28 years ago) and said she would attach a comb to hold it in my hair, and put some of the beading in the little flowers that she would do it for free! I have an awesome dress maker!!!

Anyhow there are 3 piccies, one of the front, one of the back and of the train. :)

What do you think girls? (and those guys feeling feminane to comment today :) )

At this stage I plan on pulling it back and leave the back out (if that makes sense) I don't really want to tie it all up, and Im hoping that my hair will be 4 or 5 inches longer by the wedding so it will look awesome.

I'm with MARM, I'm still hoping for a NOA2 for my birthday hehe... so they need to get it to me in the next 2 days... otherwise I'll have to hope for a NOA2 as a late birthday present... which is good for about a week after my birthday, then I'm stuck with hoping for a NOA2 for an early christmas present... and if that doesn't work out... for a christmas present... late christmas present, early new years eve present, new years even present, late new years eve present, early new years day present, new years day present (yeah, those last few are pretty crammed together in terms of time hehe)... if it don't make it here in december I won't even know what holiday to hope it arrives before, any jan birthday's in here... I may need your birthdate as a landmark for hoping my NOA2 shows up near... But yeah, in the end a christmas NOA2 would be early but very possible for me (which also translates to everyone else here since I'm one of the later filers in august) and I don't really expect one until january, but I am hoping sooner.

You can use Chris' birthday, his is the 6th of Jan (how ironic Marm lol) or my younger sister has hers on the 13th of Jan, failing that you could say Chinese new year (start of Feb I think) or early Valentines day gift....

I can't believe its the end of November already! Chris is off to Texas for a family Thanksgiving, his sister-in-law is giving birth to their first child tomorrow (Im so sad that Im going to miss the birth of one of my first nieces/nephews) so hopefully I will get piccies of that soon :D. He is aiming to get to USCIS this week about our NOA1 but to be honest with the successes he has had with them perviously I am not holding my breath in wait....

Dani - I'm sorry you can't be with your Chris this year, but just remember, this is your last Thanksgiving/Christmas/New years apart, we have all put a couple of years into this being apart pain so not far to go now.

HD - I know the feeling about the weddings, I was the bridesmaid at a wedding of friends (yes we have mutual friends in OZ lol) ours a couple of months ago, it was hard being there without Chris. But I was happy for them and in my head I found things that I wouldn't do and would do at my own wedding lol! It's a good learning game.

Teekol - Grats on your Touch, here is hoping that it leadings to something bigger and greater!!

I can't believe you August filers put 3 and a half pages of thread on whilst I was asleep!!!!

long time lurker, second time (?) replyer. (I think I posted at the beginning of this thread).

I submitted at the beginning of August, but I haven't been too active here. I check in every couple of days, but haven't posted much because I'm sort of in a different situation to everyone else.

I'm the American, but I'm living overseas in Wales for my last year of university, so I'm currently with my fiance. (But we did spend 15 months apart before this September, so I feel all of y'alls pain!).

I don't graduate until mid-July, so I was sort of hoping that I wouldn't be approved too quickly, so that we don't run out of the 6 months time to use the visa if we got approved really quickly.

Our wedding is set for July 26, 2009 (if all goes according to plan!) in Texas. I have pretty much everything planned, as I wanted to get it done over the summer while I was home, or else I would have to leave all the choices up to my mother (eek!).

For whenever my fiance has the interview in London, I am going to go with him. What kind of proof do you think we need? I guess I could scrounge up phone records. Would him taking in my passport with my UK student visas saying, "she's lived here for three years" and my cell phone and his cell phone and just showing the logs work as well? Lol.

We probably have, maybe, 400 pictures together, but I doubt we have any letters sent to each other. Emails, yes. Letters, no.

*shrugs*

I am also in the process of applying for Italian citizenship, as I am eligible through Jure Sanguinis. It will be helpful if we decide that we don't want to live in the US anymore, we won't have through go through this brouhaha in the other direction.

I'll try to maybe post a bit more now that it is getting to the nerve-wracking, exciting time of NOA2s being just around the corner.

10-04-2006 Met in Wales

10-12-2006 Started dating; together for 9 months in Wales

3 months in Texas, three months in Italy

02-01-2008 Engaged in Wales

3 months in Spain, 4 months in Texas

08-06-2008 Submitted I-129F (Vermont Service Center)

08-11-2008 I-129F received

08-14-2008 NOA1

08-19-2008 Check Cashed

09-16-2008 Moved to Wales for final year of university (and am back with my fiance)

12-15-2008 NOA2 approval email received!
