Any UK filers- what did the embassy request from you?

I got my NOA2 and am now waiting on the packet from the Embassy- Im only here in London for 2 weeks before traipsing off on a holiday to see my babe, so wondering what I can get started on that they will request from me.

Is the police clearance valid if I get it now?

And the affidavit of support- does anyone have a link to the forms so I can print off the proper ones and start my fiance and his co-sponsor on filling them in/getting them notarized so I have them ASAP - when my fiance called the USCIS earlier they told him to just wait for the checklist as different embassies require different support forms and supporting evidence - but if you have recently received a packet from the London embassy please let me know what was in it!

Thanks :)

Yes, get your police certificate now they expect you to have it by packet 3 arriving to tick it off of your checklist.

All of the forms you need for the UK embassy are all online, you fill & print signing the required ones.

A link to the form.

Oh and also there are links on this site to example forms. Basically Packet 3 contains information on booking your medical, checklist and links to the forms that are online you need to fill in and print.

Thank you so much for all that info!

I noticed on the site about the support form it says this 'Once the form is affirmed, it should be mailed to the same USCIS office where the application was filed' - I was under the impression that the forms should be sent to ME and I take them to the interview, why would they be sent to Vermont??

Nothing gets sent back to Vermont... you are now done with Vermont for the time being. The only forms that get sent back (to London) are the completed checklist once you have all the required forms and the DS forms that are asked for (DS230part1, DS156, DS156K...).

You could always send the online packet 3 to the Embassy before you go on holiday if the actual one doesn't arrive. That is what I did during the postal strike last year to speed things up for me and I had no problems.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

I just wanted to say that the VJ packet 3 for London is not the latest version. Mine is dated April 2008 where the VJ one in the link is Aug 2006. They are very similar but some differences. If you would like the entire packet 3 which includes the medical info and form to fill out just PM me with an email address. I have it stored online on a MSN drive and have to add your email address to "share" the folder with you. Then you can print, save, whatever you want.

Yes to the OP. Get everything done now. The police certificate is good for 12 months and you have to get photos signed before you can mail it off. Your DS forms are all online so fill out and print asap.

Thanks so much for that...I was wondering where the medical info was :)

Also- do you advise on booking a medical NOW as dont they send the results directly to the London Embassy (who may not have got my petition yet!)

To book the medical:

You need to know your LNDxxxx case number. The Dept of State will tell you that or your P3 cover letter will have it. Anyway it's your new case number that NVC gave you.

Call the number you find for Knightsbridge doctors in that P3 info I sent.

The medical lady will ask if you have P3 or your letter from London and you say YES. She just thinks you have to have it before you can know your LND number. So she will ask for that number and then schedule your appointment. Before you go you should have your immunization record to take. See your doctor or his nurse to prepare you a current list of your shots and have him/her sign it. My fiance needed MMR and Dtap and got them free from NHS, but others haven't been as lucky. His nurse did an immunization form but it took her a week or so to get it together. They hadn't invented the chickenpox vaccine when he was young, so he told the nurse his mum said he had chickenpox in 19xx so she just took his word for it and wrote it on his form.

It's okay to do the medical whenever you want...like schedule now. Some people do it at the same time as the interview because they live so far from London that it's not convenient to make two separate trips.

Here's the Knightsbridge doctor's page http://www.visamedicals.info/us.asp They only do the Map B location now. Phone number is 020 7486 7822

Thanks for all the info, this entire thread pretty much answerd all of my questions.

Do you think it would be okay for me to schedule the medical for the day before my Interview? I'm travelling from Scotlan dand it would be far cheaper to stay overnight in London than make two seperate journeys.

while reading through the site I saw this 'Evidence of Support: An applicant for a fiancé(e) visa is not required to file an affidavit of support, form I-864 at the time he or she applies for a fiancé(e) visa.'

So after we get our co-sponsors to notraize the I134's etc, do we need to do it all AGAIN when filing for AOS but with the I864??

Correct. The I864 will be filled out and notarized for AOS. But you will already have tax returns and other evidence gathered to re-use with that document unless it's super old info by the time you file AOS.
