Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

I Have got email from USCIS that my both petition (I-129F and I-130) approved. Both of the petition approved at same time, I don't know what to do now. Can somebody please help me with this.

Should I go with I-130 or I-129F?

Do I have a choice?

How long would it take at NVC?

How long would it take at Mumbai?

Good Luck all of you. Hopefully, you will get approved very soon, We've waited too much.

Thank You,

Rahul

Timeline

Many run both through NVC, the I-130 will result in the superior CR-1 or IR-1 IMMIGRANT visa, NO adjustment of status, and gets green-card upon entry.

Compare timelines, for most K-3 is only slightly quicker than CR-1.

K-3 costs more, due to the added costs of adjustment of status, K-3 is NOT work auth, so cannot WORK, Get SSN, or apply for a driver's license until getting EAD or green-card. EAD can take 90 days or more to get.

CR-1 is an immigrant visa, it gets green-card upon entry, so can do the things K-3 cannot.

K-3:

I-130: $355

I-129F: NONE

Consulate: $131

AOS: $1010

($1496)

CR-1

I-130: $355

NVC I-864: $70

NVC Visa fee: $400 ($355+$45)

($825)

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I followed both paths. This will get my wife the CR1, and in about a month and a half sooner than just following the CR1.

We followed everything the Embassy told us to do with the K3, and got an interview date of August 14th.

At the same time, I did everything through the NVC (online), my case was complete July 16th. They gave me an interview date of September 23rd.

I contacted the Embassy and explaind my situation, The just received my I-130 file from NVC, and my K3 interview on August 14th is now for the CR1. So my wife will get her CR1 interview about a month and a half sooner than the date that was set up.

Good luck
