9.29.08-Interview - AP (2 weeks)

10.15.08 - AP over :) Embassy called hubby to go get his Visa - HAPPIEST DAY!!!

10.20.08 - Visa Issued

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

11.25.08 - POE

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

12.26.08 - Green Card Received :)

Timeline

The whole postal system in Egypt sucks. The letters I sent to my husband while he was still in Cairo would arrive unopened, but any package I sent was opened by customs and each time he would also have to pay to receive the package. It got to the point where he finally told me not to send him packages because it was costing him so much to receive them.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Let me try this, a list of what does NOT suck about Egypt...

I will go first,

1. The beaches in Marsah Matroh

:yes: Only time he didn't get charged was when I sent thru DHL....which cost me an arm and a leg! Better to send w/ people that are going to visit...but now airlines are charging for extra bags...You can NOT win! :angry:

I was so upset with the mail system in Egypt! I sent so many cards to him and he never got them. I had also sent him one time a ultrasound picture of Amir and he never received it ! We was so upset and his first father's day card! Thank Allah we dont have to do that anymore !!

loosing the ultrasound picture would have killed me :crying: I am happy you don't have to do that anymore too...
