I'm just wondering... I'm in Canada and my boy is in the US, while our case is pending and whatnot, am I allowed to travel to the US to see him? is he allowed to come to Canada to see me?

NOA #2: Approval June 25th, 2009 - 92 days

NVC

July 8, 2009 to August 10, 2009 - 28 days

Interview Assigned - December 3, 2009 - FINALLY!!

Medical - December 14, 2009 - Passed

Embassy/Interview - January 26, 2010 Montreal, Quebec Canada - 167 days PASSED!!!

Port of Entry - February 26, 2010 Baltimore International, Maryland

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.

He shouldn't have any trouble visiting you. My husband visits me every 2-3 months. The most he gets asked when he says he's visiting his wife is "Who's moving where?". He just tells them that we have a petition in process for me to move to the US and they wave him right through.

You going there could be more tricky. I posted the same question a few days ago, and apparently quite a few of our fellow Canadians were let over to visit without any hassle. I'm going to try to go visit for our anniversary in November. If you do decide to try, make sure you bring plenty of proof showing your ties to Canada (lease, pay stub, utility bills, etc), as well as a copy of your NOA1 to prove that you are following the correct process, in case you are asked for it.
