worried about noa1

hi there, my fiance still hasnt gotten the noa1 since filing on the 8th of july, sholud we start getting worried?

there was some people on Vj who also filed around this time, have any of you guys recieved the noa1? we are worried

they might have lost our petition.

Dont worry! Our check was cashed yesterday, we dont have NOA1 yet (I do have the number from the back of the check)

and we filed July 5th! Your time is coming up too. Give it another week. Also make sure to be able to find out when your check was cashed or the money order was cashed. :)

Don't worry, both centers seemed to have had a slowdown on processing checks and NOA1s this month, but people are starting to see progress. The only reason I'd be worried is if you don't have some sort of delivery or signature confirmation that the packet arrived.

Also, if you could add to your profile your service center (My Controls -> Edit Profile Information), it'd be a nice quick reference for everyone to see which center/visa you applied for!

Thanks to bauser for pointing me at this thread...

We filed on 7/7 in VT and our check was cashed on 7/31 -- so we have a case number! I don't think I've ever been so happy to see money gone from my checking account.

No NOA1 yet, but it looks like they're catching up. I put the case number into the USCIS tracking system ( https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do ) and it worked!
