mine has been 149 days and actually i send the request to Hillary's office on June 12 and just now the send me a letter saying the have send a request to inquiry on my case

Due to Clinton NY senator, only NY residents could ask her for inquiries?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I contacted Hillary's office while she was busy losing to Obama and received no response. Going local (congressman) now. I hope he's more responsive.

I wrote a letter to Obama in March 2008 to find out what USCIC is doing with the K-1 petition that was returned baxk to USCIS california. And I got a letter back from Mr. Obama's office in 20 days saying that the case is closed.

I would suggest to write to your congressmen as well as senators.

Keep the pressure ON.

They're all allegedly able to make inquiries for us so it doesn't really matter.

My congressman's aid called this morning and left me a message that they've put in an inquiry for us. I appreciate that a lot. I don't know if it will do any good but it most certainly cannot hurt.

It hadn't dawned on me until today that while my NOA1 has the proper received date (10/29/07) on it, the online status says that they received it the date of my NOA1 (1/17/08). I wonder if I need to call them to make sure that my received date is accurate in the online system or if it even matters... You can read that first sentence in more than one way, in classic USCIS style.

I actually faxed a letter, a copy of my NOA1, their privacy policy release form and their Immigration Inquiry form. (These forms were found on my congressman's website.) They need that privacy release most of all.

Yse, you can write to your senators and/or your congressmen.

All of us waiting to be united with our loved one are under constant stress. A little bit of laugh will ease that stress. I know what that stress means whan they denied my wife (then fiancee) K-1 visa and CSC did not even tell me ehat they are doing with the returned petition.

Everyove have a good weekend. I am going to hit a bar for a couple of MARTINIES.
