April 13, 2009 - Welcome to the USA letter rec'd. PRC to be rec'd within 3 weeks.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

If you're in the GTA, the best place to get your police certificate is from the Commissionaire's office, when I got mine it was only $25.

now, does anyone know how long it takes to get the police certificate, and also the long form birth certificate, do they take a while to receive?

My police certificate was ready the next day. The long form birth certificate, you can order online and should have it within 14 days, if I remember correctly - www.gov.on.ca.

I went to the police headquarters in Toronto. Paid about $25 and I think it takes up to 10 business days, but got mine sooner.

i got my name check in Newmarket..$40 for two copies..I went earlier,two weeks ahead of my expecting date my P3 would arrive coz i got one before and it took me two weeks to get it..but this time I got mine right away about 5 minutes...

My police check took 5 days for them to mail it to me, but I could have gone to pick it up sooner, had I had a car available to me!

The birthcertificates have sped up quite a bit since I needed mine though. I had to call my MPP and have them harrass the Ontario Registrar to hurry the frak up with mine.
