Man we are at 11 months, and thats already too much 17 must be insane :(

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

haha, still going SusieK.. :crying: It's Day 40 out of 60 days now.. 60 days is the timeframe (from July 29) when they are supposed to have an answer.. if they don't, it's automatic YES.. but they can also extend for another 30 days though.. so 85-90% of cases are "YES", so I'm confident we will get approved soon.. :dance: It's just the waiting of 60 days that's killing me..

Gogo,

I hope you get a response to the Writ very soon. Since we are in such similar circumstances I wanted to give you an update on our case. At the end of August we finally got some movement: a request for additional evidence. At this point, we are just relieved that it is out of "background check". We have another week and half before our RFE has to be sent in and we have just about everything sent to our attorney now.

Our RFE is for more evidence that the two of us have met in person in the two years before filing for the K1. Once the additional evidence is sent in its more waiting...we just hope that this time around it moves more quickly!

hi Ilya, how come you didn't go back to visit her? I tried to be apart for one year at the beginning, but it was tough.. now I just go back every 6 months.. I can probably get about a week or two vacation time, and then just lose another week to get a total of 3 weeks.. that's what I'm planning to do in November.. but if she gets approved soon, then I'll just wait for the "final" trip and go with her for the interview.. :thumbs: We both agreed that we would wait just a few months more.. :star:
