Does it make a difference how long you have known your fiance?????

Not that I'm aware of. As long as you have met within 2 years, that's all that is required.

I'm sure a few people filed the I-129f and only known each other a few months.

Yeah it doesn't matter at all.

I've read on VJ that some people have known each other for a few months and met once.

It apparently doesn't matter because some people apply after knowing each other for only a few months, and after spending sometimes only a week physically together  .

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

I truely beleive that having not spent as much time physically with your finace does not make such a big difference, except in the missing them stakes.

When all you have is the phone and the internet you spend so much time talking that I feel you you get to know that person better than if you are together all of the time. All the time you have is one on one with no distractions.

Of course it would be better to be together but I feel that I know my fiance so well that it is more other people who are concerned about the lack of physical time spent together. I have no doubts and the times we are together are so special....

Cant wait 4 weeks today we are meeting in Cancun for a holiday.........bring it on

roll on NOA2

There is no specific requirement but you'll be demonstrating the relationship is bona fide, both at the visa and AOS interviews. Evidence of bona fides, not time, is the issue in both cases.

You're right, but bona fides are not an issue with K1 NOA2. Bona fides are evaluated at the interview.

I'm referring to evidence of a bona fide ongoing relationship.

SYLLABICATION: bona fi·des

PRONUNCIATION: fdz, fdz

NOUN: 1. (used with a sing. verb) Good faith; sincerity. 2. (used with a pl. verb) Information that serves to guarantee a person's good faith, standing, and reputation; authentic credentials: “Sakharov's bona fides within the Soviet system . . . have given added weight to his message” (Christian Science Monitor).

ETYMOLOGY: Latin bona fids, good faith : bona, feminine of bonus, good + fids, faith.

That was my point as well as there's more to a visa than the NOA2. Most of the confusion here come from people posting about what they don't know, instead of reading so they DO know.

sure there is but unless u can get the noa2 u can not proceed to the point of interview and one of the many things u have to send for the application to get permission for that is proof of meeting with in two years and also a relationship so just at the interview it is suppose to be viewed and u have to convince the interviewer thats its real and there is an on going relationship..........and if that is not the case then ur right i dont know anything

There you go again. You don't need evidence of a bona fide ongoing relationship to petition. You don't need that until the interview. What you posted earlier was that how long the couple has known each other doesn't matter because you've seen short relationships get NOA2. NOA2 isn't a visa and the bona fides haven't been evaluated yet. Getting an NOA2 doesn't have anything to do with whether time in a relationship matters.

You could have met once for an hour at an airport and still get an NOA2.
