April 02, 08 - last day of being employed

april 03,08 - CFO

april 04 - flight to MO

stressful ang last day of duty because of hectic skeds, but it was really heart breaking too..(drama). My co workers had a farewell/bridal shower party for me on my last day of duty. I was sad because my hospital family was my second home - my co-workers my second family. They gave me heart rending speeches..huhuhu. I still cry every time i review the recording of that day.

I took a week long vacation (with pay) and spend time with my family (my resignation was effective right after the vacation). toxic ang mind sa kakaisip ng flight, pamilya at mga bilihin sa divisoria..hehehe.

Now is the longest stretch of time that i am unemployed - huhuhu...i am baby sitting (sideline) and i miss working. And i miss home :)

Asking me about my last day of work? It was mixed emotions. Leaving everything that I started to face a new chapter in life. Need to leave my friends there and going back to the country.. They gave me a very memorable bridal shower a day before i flew back to Manila.

Speaking of being a BUM.. I was a BUMMER for couple of months now and I feel horrible!! Now I miss the work related stress, hectic working schedule, etc..

Jomay, you know I cannot go out and enjoy because of curfew and "bodyguards" during evening time..

Last day at work? I CELEBRATED!!! Yeeeeehaaaaw!:dance::dance: Actually, I already resigned a month before my flight. I just kept on hanging around my old workplace to train my replacement and to bid good byes to my regular customers and friends in the area. I didn't feel sad leaving my work behind because for the longest time, I've been wanting to quit from the job. But because it's the only place where David and I can communicate without any hardships, we both agreed that I should hang on till it's time for me to go here.

I'm not missing work even though I'm unemployed for more than a year. When David and I got into this relationship, we had an agreement that I won't be working. If ever I will start getting bored, he said I can enroll in a nearby school and take some classes. Sounds good to me!

I was in front of the judge arguing with a fellow lawyer about an ejectment case. When we finished, the judge , who is also our personal friend told me to go multiply and come back to his court only when I have a blue eyed son or daughter :) . Joe and I are trying hard :)

Last day of work September 28. I left for Manila October 1 and flew to San Francisco October 3. I do miss work and Joe doesn't mind me working as long as I come home every night. I have no problem with it. I don't like the graveyard shift anyway.

BUt still i miss working :crying: The self-fulfillment I get from working and knowing i am earning my own money and being productive member of a society is different from the pleasure i get of being a full time mother and wife now...

My last day of work, I felt more relieved than sad :) . I haven't had any vacation day for the last 2 years from work and I was just so glad to spend time with my family in Bicol before my flight here in the US. Since I was 19 years old I was doing the same job for 17 years so the change was very much welcome. It didn't felt right at first to be signing my retirement papers coz it made feel like I'm old already and yet I'm just about to get married  . I've been a BUM since Dec. 2007 but I'm still enjoying being a housewife . I intend to find work though once I got my green card but I want a job not as demanding of my time like what I had in Manila.
