It says you need a statement from employer, does this need to be writen by your supervisor or manager or something, at work my fiance has a place on his computer when he logs in that he can go in and it gives him a page that shows his job title, his salary, stuff like that, does that work or does it need to have a supervisor type it up and sign it?

I think it needs to be an actual letter on company letterhead, signed by a supervisor/HR director/manager/whatever. My HR department told me that they HAVE to address it to an entity of some sort, so I think she's addressing it to "The US embassy in Vancouver" or something along those lines. :)

My husband - then fiance - was told by his immediate supervisor to just write up a letter for him, he would print it out on letterhead, sign it and that was that. So, that is what he did. It was a very basic statement "To Whom it May Concern", "This letter is to confirm that (name) has been a full-time employee for (company name) as a (job title) since (date), with an annual salary of (figure) plus regular bonuses. Please do not hesitate to contact me af you require further information. (name, title and signature of boss).

He just updated the same letter for the AOS and his boss re-signed it. We had no problems.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
