Is there any reason you believe your husband would get denied? I believe it is very rare for them to give an outright denial. They have to have a valid reason for it.

Yes, they have...and basically you need to know that it isn't just in Morocco, it has happened in all countries. my thoughts to you is to have a back up plan. It can be difficult to plan for, but you need to think about what would you do if your husband was denied - you would reapply and then submit some other petitions, but if that didn't work out - would you move to Morocco or divorce...it is a real bummer to know that this could be the fate of your relationship, but you have to always have that thought in the back of your head - should X happen, I will do Y.

Rajaa, I'm praying for you all that everything comes out all right for you guys. Si Dios Quiere.

Bless you both. :innocent:

A married friend of ours was denied in Casa. The wife had contacted her senator prior to the interview, so as soon as they received the denial, her senator got to work and she started contacting the consulate herself. They were able to turn the situation around before his file was returned to USCIS. He received his visa a few weeks later. This is one reason why it's so important to touch base with your representative before the interview and have a signed authorization on file with them so that in case of the worst, the representative can take immediate action. It doesn't always help, but even one reversed denial (and I know of more than one) is reason enough to be prepared.

I'm the USC.

well the reason why I ask is my husband is working in Spain he says for "our future" he is preparing for the worst in case... and we will make our home in Spain if that was necessary. And I would not have a problem moving where ever whenever was necessary.

Just didn't know how often it happend..

my next question which representatives do you contract?

The one for your district. Senators are usually not as good, try a representative. I had better luck with them.

I too know of a few denials off hand. They were straight denials and then had to repetition over again, one with success the other two did not have success. Denials are for obvious reasons. I had not heard of denial as an end result of AP/AR just taking the maximum time allowed for this to occur. I think its 1 year then you file some form with that results in immediate issue of visa. (not sure about this one)

Having a back up plan is the best way to go about life. Regardless of the possibility of any outcome. As far as who you contact, your local represent of congress is your best bet. I had more luck with my senator then my congress rep but each state is different.

Good luck.

Rajaa...go with Senator Patty Murray. Mary Pederson is the contact person in her office. She is very nice and helpful. t. She made a few inquiries about my now husband's visa. The first time they sent back the blanket...we are working on it and will notify beneficiary when done. The second request was met with the visa will be issued shortly and he was called 2 days later.

I put in a request to both Murray and Cantwell same day. Cantwell took a week to respond. By then the ball was rolling with Murray so I stuck with her.

Thanks Maggie, I love that you live in the same state!! can't wait to meet you in a couple of months.

Anyway, stupid question but do you call them or send them a letter? and do you just google their numbers/address???

and then who do you ask for? We haven't been waiting long and haven't even gotten our NAO2 yet but I was told to have something signed with them... what??? and how does that conversation go?? sorry I know when I can say I don't know what I am doing and now is that time.

you usually can call , write or email, you first get the legal paper saying they can speak on your behalf for your case. You tell them about your case and let them know tht in the future you may call upon them for help in finding out things etc...
